Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U DLC |OT2| Lucas comes out of Nowhere!

Samus quality of life fixes
- fix jab broken piece of shit hit box, it whiffs on everything
- fix fsmash broken pos hit box, whiffs at point blank, whiffs on small targets and whiffs while going through airborne opponents while angled
- give back the pre Mewtwo ftilt. I can stand on jab being horrible and punishable on hit at low %, they thought it was such a great idea they made it into a Smash Tip in game, but ftilt now having that exact problem with the moronic knee hitbox is insane. Was a fantastic move back then that properly spaced opponents out, now the knockback is all over the place for whatever reason.
- give up smash vacuum properties, bigger hitboxes are nice but opponent still slides off way too many times off it, it's unacceptable.
- make airborne charge shot come out faster, like the Smash Tips says, it's supposed to come out immediately.
- remove that unblockable window from when you get a full charge shot, no other character has this, Samus already can't charge airborne and I'm fine with that but this is stupid.

Buffs to make her a good character:
- reduce starting lag and ending lag of her grab considerably and make it on par with Link's
- give her better throws, reduce down throw knockback making it a better combo throw as it's easily DIable now. Either buff up throw or back throw as very late kill throws. All other tether characters (except Yoshi)have good kill throws or good kill throw combos. Make her kill at around 160%, instead of the 220-250% up throw she has.
- reduce homing missiles end lag and let her keep her momentum while firing these. Also let them home a little bit more, an inbetween now and Mii gunner's. Awful starting lag can stay the same.
- make power missiles have horizontal knockback and increase the knockback, allowing them to kill at high percents near edges.
- give down tilt brawl's old knockback and make it kill at around 130-40% or reduce ending lag and % making it safer on block and whiff and allowing early % combos. (I'd rather get the kill version)
-increase nair knockback considerably because you can't fix that worthless pos hit box. Buff it's % from 8/7 to 12/9.
- make fair have vacuum properties so it's easier to carry opponents offstage while doing it. Slightly reduce landing lag.
-give up air better vacuuming properties as well, it's really easy for opponents to fall off. Doesn't have to be as strong as Greninja's or Shiek's but at least something.
- make up tilt untechable like they did with Falco's dair (I'd make it a system wide that standing opponents couldn't tech. Give it a little less ending lag as it's pretty punishable in shield if not spaced properly (cause it's almost ganondorf up tilt slow)
-either make bombs explode on contact and get rid of the contact hit box (making them go from 9% to 5%) or considerably shorten their contact hitbox and buff them to 10%
- reduce dash attack start lag. Have you ever seen anybody whiff more dash attacks than samus?
- either make screw attack knockback a more vertical or increase the knockback. It's easy to live past 160 as it is now..

With all that she'd be s tier, probably. I could still wish for a down smash increase on knockback, zair damage buff and a better jab combo

They don't care about Samus. They're too afraid of her ruining everyone's fun. They want you to just make a Mii Gunner with the Samus outfit, or play Zero Suit. metroid is dead, et cetera.

Also they took away the vacuum on Greninja's up air in the first patch way back on 3DS. Sheik is the only one who has a vacuum up air because of course she is.

Samus Mii costume was the biggest kick in the balls.

And did they really? Seems you can fast fall and drag people with you with it

1v1 For Glory Tourneys are terrible only 3 minutes. It benefits campy players and is terrible for heavy weights because they're obviously always going to be at a higher percents.

Last game Anki.

GGs, you have a pretty good Toon Link, probably better than mine. I need to start angling that boomerang down more often.

Good games, Crayolan! Your Toon Link is really solid! You definitely take a lot more risks than me. I was in awe at how much you chased me off the stage to finish me off in our first match. Those dittos were seriously fun and had some hilarious moments.

But that Jigglypuff is a BEAST. I can't figure out how to fight it at all. Such a terrible matchup for Toon Link. @_@

I haven't had the chance to play online all-day and it's super annoying! I really want to try out Zelda and Marth against actual players to see what new things I can do

I mean, the time limit is bullshit but you can over come it. Though you shouldn't have to.

I played a campy Villager and a toon link, both who tried to time me out but they ended up losing the time out war because Mega Man can play that game.

But then I played a really great Bowser who won by timeout against me, though granted I wasn't going for the stall.

The other thing is at first blush you'd think it decides the winner by stock and then percent lead but it totally doesn't. As far as I can tell it actually uses "total damage given" to decide the winner. I'm not sure if that spans past a stock lead or not but I can 100% confirm that a percent lead on matching stocks does not guarantee you the win. Which is insane.

Thanks. I tend to be really greedy offstage and voluntarily jump off-stage when playing Toon Link just cause of that custom up b which let's you go really, really deep. Also when recovering staying off stage tends to work out better for me than trying to go above the opponent where Toon Link is super vulnerable. You sticking to projectiles rather than chasing off-stage for the edge guard really messed me up.

Also that one never ending up+b combo on omega gaur plains was so hilarious I had to save the replay.

Apparently the "buff" to dancing blade is actually a nerf. Now you have an extra 5-frames to imput the next attack in DB, which in some ways can improve shield-pressure. But this also means that you have 5 extra frames of end-lag if you stop the move early.

This could potentially be a horrible nerf for the character, because the only setups Marth has at highr percents is with DB. Those setups were never reliable but they were something. I haven't had the chance to really try him out today as I said earlier, so hopefully it's not as bad as it sounds.

edit-lol ok nevermind about the endlag stuff. That was just people panicing without taking the proper time to test things out. False alarm!

Wow that's kinda stupid tbh because some characters specialise in killing early and living to high percents. Like my character. T_T
And yeah I lost one of my matches because I didn't realise the time limit was only 3 minutes, kinda my fault but still I need a little more time to actually chase characters with Charizard.

I feel for you, it definitely skews in the favor of campy garbage. Villager especially has a huge advantage in that mode. Charizard probably has a super tough time even getting close. No idea what I'd do, lots of Fire breath I guess?

Wow Torney mode SUUUUCKS.

Registered to one, waited 45 minutes to start, had to wait with my best friend sandbag for a while, and when its finally up... my CD decided to not load and forced me eject it, losing my connection.

DISAPPOINTING.

Joined the For Glory Tournament.

In general this has been a very disappointing update for me. Was looking forward to Tournament mode.

Tourny mode is disappointing but the Zelda buff and youtube upload makes up for it.

Especially the Zelda buff. Mr. Scoop is OP. Got a replay of a phantom just catching a jigglypuff on rollout and scooping them back offstage.

Random video upload I did just to try it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8b1D61Va-mE

It took forever to upload, and the three-minute restriction is a pain as well... Still, it's an improvement from Brawl and its 3-minute replays. Now it's 3-minute replay uploads, but I'm wondering what could end up being nerfed to three minutes for Smash 5?

Just downloaded the patch and the DLC characters! My friends are just about to come over to play against me, my wife and my daughter in a huge offline 1v1 bracketed tournament!

I'm sure nothing will go wrong, right?

Would you like to play on random stages with items, and possibly arrange some FFA if more people join us?

I'd be up for FFA/Teams.
Sure, let's do that!

I'll be hosting in 3 minutes
