set a calendar reminder on your phone or pc to cancel...
There's no way to just cancel, just shut off automatic renewal on their website, which doesn't work.
So I just started a lancer (Elin) in PVP server, god damn they kill so slow, I swear that my Mystic kill faster than my lancer. The new patch decreased the number of channels from 8 to 4, so I have to run miles away from everyone and spent 20 mins to finish one quest that only took 1 or 2 minute on my slayer/mystic back when there were 8 channels.
If there are one thing that force me to quit it got to be the channel nerf, I know competing with 5 other players for quest mobs is fun 10 years ago, but I do not have time for this anymore.

Why I'm hesitant to roll a lancer unless I have a leveling buddy with me.
Me and my friend rolled a mystic and lancer alts and have been duoing it up.
So is there a trial for this game? I'd like to play it but I'm not sure I want to invest the money without trying first.
This explains why 56 to 58 feels so grindy and 58 to 60 feels much easier. He's in Japan, where the cap is still 58
Day 4 of my wait to play the game with my stupid Sub expired bug. And CS couldn't help me when I contacted them. I guess I just have to play the waiting game
Loving playing my Mystic alt. What's a mystic like in a group and what is their role?
On a not so related note I wish TERA's mystics could summon uber cute felynes like in the new Blade and Soul CBT3 trailer.
Also is there a BnS thread on GAF? I canny seem to find one
It's brand new in the west, give it some time.Ugh. There are like, no guides that are actually useful for this game on the internet. =/ I want to craft weapons but there are no hints where I can obtain various things in game and the Tera Wiki is awful.
I really need to get back into the game, got into the Secret World beta and have been goofing around with that, but I'm ready to go back to TERA already.
How is that? Are they doing the modern day thing well?
I’m playing a lot of Tera right now. This is always when I regret playing a beta as I push through all the content I already saw. I’m playing a Sorcerer now though which is a change and that takes some of the sting out of doing all the same quests again. As of last night I finally hit the point that I got to in the beta (around level 18).
I’ve had the opportunity to play some high level content at various events and I’m really excited to get to that point with my own character. Something about the combat in Tera just really scratches an itch for me. The combat in games like WoW or even SW:TOR is sort of like old naval warfare. Two big ships sidle up next to each other and just unload. At the end of the day you just have to hope you survive it. Tera is much more action oriented. Enemies give you tells before they attack and you need to move out of the way. You need to be actively blocking and dodging if you want to survive some of these fights. Spells and arrows have trajectories and if you move out of their path you don’t get hit! No more fireballs that track you as you dodge out of the way. So when I have some NPC telling me to go get ten serrated fangs, I’m actually excited because it means I get to go play.
And trust me you will be asked to collect ten thingamajigs. Tera is a strange case in that way. For all the innovation they’ve packed into the combat, the quest system is a classic MMO grind. In SW:TOR I wanted to complete quests to see the next part of my character’s story. The planet Taris was a ridiculously boring slog but I pushed through it because I loved the story. With Tera I don’t give two shits about the story, in fact I’m not even reading most of these quests. I click accept and then check the map to see where I need to go. I do the quests because I want to fight. I want to kill stuff and so a quest that tells me to kill stuff is actually exactly what I’m in the market for. In SW:TOR I put up with the gameplay so that I could get the story. In Tera I put up with the story so I can get the gameplay.
So how long will I stick with Tera? It’s hard to say. If you count my time spent in the beta I probably played SW:TOR for about 5 months before I got tired of it. Honestly in my opinion that’s a pretty good investment. I can’t say right now if I’ll still be playing Tera in September. At the very least I think it’s worth a purchase. Give it a month and see what you think.

Hello fellow Mystic alt : D
Mystic in a group is: drop blue balls, drop red balls / heals, volley of curses. Mana recharge. Rinse, Repeat.
And, you are in the same boat with my friend, playing the waiting game. Hang in there!
Whoa. Just bought the digital edition outta instant gratification. Am I in for a treat? Is this MMO worth it? (I just bunt out from TOR BTW)

Kind of weird they didn't change the curve for those last few levels. This explains why 56 to 58 feels so grindy and 58 to 60 feels much easier.
^^
The thrall seems to annoy the group if there's a tank present. Without a tank, the thrall can (very rarely) interrupt or poke BAMs, and give your damage dealer a chance to breathe a little.
At higher levels, mystics are also supposed to keep the Auras up, to help with crits, etc.
Whats your main class? I alternate between Priest and Mystic. But I'm thinking to start a zerker or a lancer, cuz waiting for my friend to get his account sorted out.
I think that's in the mine next to the Chebika zone?
Edit: Tenebrous Mine
I just went from Lancer to Zerker and holy crap what a difference. I went from 1-12 in 2.5 hours compared to the 5-6 it took on the lancer. I regularly 1-2 shot mobs and wreck face. Does this continue throughout the rest of the game or do Zerkers fall off hard at some point?
Their dmg output should stay constant. At max level they seem really unpopular in party groups though, especially in one of the dungeons where you have to kill the last boss as fast as possible. Sorcerers, slayers and warriors seem to be the prefered damage dealers.
I'm guessing it's because zerkers do these charge-up hits and if you mess those up you lose a good portion of your damage. That and they are slightly slower at keeping up with the boss' movements with no backstab teleport or rush skills.
It gets rough later on with low mobility. Slayers are much better off later on.I just went from Lancer to Zerker and holy crap what a difference. The higher you get, the more profound the difference becomes.I thought lancer was really fun :\
I kill things in like 7-10 seconds, and zerker takes me about as long
Anyone on VoT looking to make a new character soon? Need a partner for the Lancer I'm going to make.
Leveling a lancer on VoT now if anyone wants to duo. Night shift UNITE.
Character name: Shachath
I don't know why people hate zerkers, they're pretty fun and kill mobs instantly.

Level a zerker to the high 50's and you'll start to understand. Those fucking dungeon bosses become increasingly bullshit for zerker, a class which has a block which only absorbs 40% of the damage a lancer's block absorbs and which has no dodge skill of any kind until you reach 60 and you have to be in the middle of charging a skill to use that dodge and it has a 15 second cooldown whereas the other classes get a dodge skill at levels 1-10 which has a 3 second cooldown.
