That Destiny thread talking about if Bungie knows what they're doing kinda makes me wonder if I should be mad about Destiny or not. Not the "nerd outrage" or anything, but that video in the OP that blows up the Iron Banner event was kinda damning. I think I'd be actually kinda upset had I paid full price for Destiny (I only paid $10), but as it is I'm not all that fazed I guess. It could also be that I'm kinda getting bored with it since it seems like most of the people I know who are playing it are on PS4, and I'm still on Dat Triple.

Destiny's a game that could be good but it's like where's the creativity? What's the point of this?

It's a bunch of ideas with no focal point and it makes me want to play WoW since Blizz looks like geniuses now.

Yeah, I feel you. I'm having fun with it, which is important to me, but it there's so many trip-ups and weird decisions while I'm playing. Makes me wonder what could've been. It also really makes me want a PS4 when I'm already strapped for cash.

I feel like a lot of people in this thread were like "Destiny is the truth" with the Beta ages ago and yet everybody has fallen out of love with the game so fast. Did the game just run out of fun things to do? Or were y'all deceived earlier?

I think DY said it best when he mentioned that the shooting was good, but everything else was suspect. Among the problems Destiny has, I also can't seem to find enough time to sit down and play it. Real life + other games have my attention, and Destiny requires far too much of it for me to really enjoy it outside of days off from work.

Raigeki just isn't that broken any more. Look how many monsters either can't be destroyed or want to be destroyed.

It's still a bloody good card but unless you're going for a OTV, it's not broken.

Can only speak for myself but, I thought the beta was a taste, a sample of an ambitious game...not 1/5 or 1/4 of the entire game.

I saw something on twitter a while back where this dude saw a picture of this big girl, retweeted it, and was like she's fine. This random girl retweeted the pic and was like "oh she cute but what about her health"? like she gives a damn about this her health. I thought that hilarious because it was that equivalent of going "what about black on black crime". I see stuff like that specifically happen often.

I can see the comparison being pretty apt. Most people's impressions between Titanfall during its beta, and Titanfall months after its release are probably two different things. The positive impressions during the beta were warranted, but the game simply didn't have enough content diversity to maintain a positive playing experience a month+ after its release. Destiny could end up being the same thing.

Batman is a pretty boring guy, especially compared to Superman. That's another aspect of what makes Superman so compelling - how he allows Batman to get one over on him sometimes. It's not because Batman is more capable, that's for damn sure.

I feel like Superman by himself is boring as shit. It's when he is around and in direct comparison to other heroes is when he's interesting. It's the same thing with Captain America. Their inherent goodness shines much brighter around other heroes.

Sure. The best part is his interplay with others and how they work with or against him. Still, even alone, I still find a lot to like and enjoy about Superman. He's far from the generic hero with no real vulnerabilities fighting crime. So much more at stake.

Also I hadn't seen that Superman thread. Huh.
