I've actually had the chance to pick one up and played around with it for awhile. I only played with it when I realized it wasn't just a mutant make-up case that cost more than a buck-o-five. I actually used it as Nintendo intended me to use it, so there is not going to be any of that crap about me not actually putting time into it. And of course my opinion is the only one that really matters so lets get to it.
From what I have played (if you can call it that on this handheld), the future of Nintendo's next Virtual Boy isn't looking too bright, on both screens. I actually can't believe that Nintendo insults the industry with the DS and actually got away with selling it to more than 3 people. It was already bad enough they managed to get Gamecubes into a few homes, but this DS is nothing more than an abomination of back-assed technology with the Nintendo logo on it.
And the question that someone (that isn't you) needs to ask is, what's the point of the DS?
Was the Dual Screen idea implemented to show us twice the mediocrity of their games?
Was the idea of kicking-off the industry's first Pedo-Chat with kids using the stylus become so tempting that it just had to be done?
Or did they make the DS so it would host one of the lowest scoring games in EGM history for a few shits 'n giggles?
I cannot see why people are actually buying into the Nintendo BS and not waiting for something better that is bound to be coming down the line, but then again Gamecube also sold more than a few systems before it got the biggest beat down since that dude Jesus 2000 years ago. So I guess I should be used to disappointment, right?
So far I managed to mess with the software titles provided for it, none of them actually classifies as a game and I'd be pretty depressed if Nintendo thought Super Mario 64 DS was classified as one.
What was DS supposed to do again?
