I wonder if it has the Pulse Elite adapter technology built in to the system?

There seems to be an overheating flaw with the current adapter

I still have noise and connection issues with my pulse elite
I think I read somewhere that it doesn't. It may have been the cnet article after the announcement.

Damn, that sucks, I would hope that maybe it doesn't overheat and is in a better location for the console. MY adapter gets scorching hot and the sound crackles and I lose connections occassionally even to this day, but what's so friggin annoying about it is that it's not consistent - some days are perfect! But they are rare. I don't understand why this isn't fixed.

Have you tried a USB hub? I only have the Explore but the adapter does not get hot and I don't get disconnects.
The amount of times mine disconnects for no reason or just doesn't connect at system on is ridiculous
Same. Worth a try before you try warranty.

Edit: I use a hub
