Uncharted 4 Trailer runs in-engine, in-game, in realtime on a single PS4 at 1080p60

Even if this turns out to not be 100% true, I think we can expect it to look incredibly gorgeous. I mean, TLoU is still looking quite good IMO, and that's on an 8 year old console!

Sure, 60 fps would be insane, but 30 fps would not be the end of the world.
 
Is it that hard to believe? I mean when you have full control of the camera you can do amazing things. Look at that initial zelda u demo.
 
DAE think it's weird that developers spend so much time showing off character's faces when 99% of the time all we can see is the back of their heads?

I won't be buying the game (don't own a PS4)...but I HOPE it's true. Shit, if we can get our games to look like that on consoles, the future is bright. Either way, I think it's safe to say that this game will be the best looking game to date upon its release.

Outside of all the "giant leap or not" discussion, I want to say that it looks really great.

I can't wait to see what engines will be able to deliver mid-generation. Is UC4 finally the first game to see dynamic global illumination combined with advanced animation and simulation? Will the most popular engines still use deferred engines, or switch to forward+ with it's enhanced possibilities (such as Order 1886, Witcher 3 and partly Ryse)

Lets be honest you're probably one of the most "interesting" critiquers on here being that any opinion you have formed based on gameplay videos or images is always wrong.
My favorites are:

"Ryse is going to play exactly like Batman! You can clearly tell"
and concerning a Watch Dogs tech trailer that was mislabeled PC and everyone was saying umm that looks like PS4 -
"Let the console fans dream"
It was confirmed running on PS4

The sand moving and staying in place as he reaches for the gun. I was so focused on the details on Nate's face that I never noticed it. Wizardry.

And lol at the fucking Ryse comparisons. The game looks good but as others have said, pictures are becoming worthless in terms of comparisons, this stuff needs to be in motion.

and ryse did play like batman, the developers even said they adopted thier combat system from it so why are you trippin

no where in my comment on the watchdogs video did i even mention the trailer or had to do with the trailer, so the fact that it was the ps4 version was inconsequential.

Also if anything Ryse plays a bit like Assassins Creed. It feels nothing like Batman, unless you play Batman completely differently than every other person on the planet.

The Order looks like a big leap above it but that could be because the footage is kind of uninspiring. I actually think Ryse looks better based on this showing

So are you saying you think I am pushing an agenda because I think The Order and now UC4 two games releasing 2 years into this console cycle look better than Ryse(a launch game) and QB(with limited footage)

Have you ever thought of going into the Private Eye business? You should probably take breaks every once in a while I don't want you to get a headache over all this detective work.
 
I'll wait till gameplay hits before trying to shit talk the pc platform honestly. The more I look at the trailer the more I believe it's pre-rendered and of course quality goes down when it transition s to gameplay. The IQ is simply beyond what the ps4 is capable of, look at killzobe shadow fall for example. When first shown everyone had the impression it would have smooth IQ but in reality KZSF is a jaggy mess by my standards. Let's wait till gameplay hits and lets see how big one level is before we start shit talking

I'm fine with anyone disagreeing with me about anything. I am wrong about a lot of things. I'm just done with your pattern of dropping into a thread just to say something antagonistic then having nothing to back it up and fleeing into the other far reaches of the forum. I might be doing a bad job giving you some respect here but you have just proven time and time again to love drive by posts meant to clearly aggravate everyone.

I also don't think you have an agenda but I do question your ability to make rational deductions based on information given to you. You seem to favor inflammatory comments over actually contributing anything to a discussion.

In the case of U4 ND has claimed that it is not the case, explicitly.

I think it's about time I added you to my IL. BruceLeeRoy can humour himself but I'll not be contributing to shittying up the thread further. There is a clear distinction between healthy scepticism and trolling and while I'll indulge in the former the latter doesn't help this thread.
 
Wow. And people were complaining about PS4 being a weak system. This gen BARELY started and we already have extremely good looking games coming in the near future, not many systems have achieved this.

I was seriously expecting this when they first showed the trailer. If it was real-time then no reason why we can't expect that throughout the game, would be amazing.

I thought the same thing. When it didn't I just assumed it was a pre-rendered trailer and I lowered expectations but now. I'm going to need a brown bag to breath into when they unveil this game.
 
It looks really really fantastic and I totally believe it is in engine and the PS4 is capable of putting it out.

That said it's a close up of a dude on a beach that's less then a minute long. I'm going to have to see way more of the game before it's crowned as the best looking thing out there (including PC which some people already seem to be sure of) especially with all the other amazing looking stuff we've seen this week. And especially in 2015 when it comes out and there's a whole lot more to compare it to.

It will be really interesting to see what it's like in game. And by that I mean behind Drake shootin up bad guys. Hopefully Naughty Dog takes the gameplay to the next level as well.
 
I actually think this is a pre gameplay cutscene, with audio from a conversation between Drake and Sully which I think is from another part of the game.

I wouldn't have been surprised if the video went of a for a couple of seconds longer it would have jumped behind Drake to the actual gameplay. I believe while gameplay will not have this image quality it will be fairly close.

Incredible IQ though. As an Uncharted fan I'm very excited for this game.

Infamous: SS proves that you can have amazing IQ on the console though. If anything, I would expect the LOD in Drakes character to go down during actual gameplay, but that's because you won't see it anyways. It honestly will not surprise me if IQ stays the same.

Edit: I don't see how it's shit talking PC to say this is the best looking game ever (if it does end up looking like this).
