Well, both. It's making a constant connection between the base unit and the pad. My router is in a closet just outside the room my console is in. If I walk next to that closet, which is a mere 10 feet away from the console, the connection dies. If I walk 10-20 feet from the console in a direction away from the router, the connection is pretty solid. If I go upstairs in a room directly above the console, connection is perfect. Just gotta avoid things that will cause interference. Routers, bridges, microwaves. Also dont bury your console in an entertainment center.
Let me try...
One thing I don't like about the Wii U is the load time between menus, what on earth is going on there? It feels like GT5 with it's network loaded menus, but since I am not online (until today, just moved house) it can't be that.
I hope they give us an optimised OS, they could be working on something newer since the game doesn't actually ship with a proper one anyway!
Nintendoland came with a club nintendo code for aussie premium pack. Lucky us.
Has anyone bought it from German Media Markt yet?
I am curious if they also use that Dutch price of 326 for the Deluxe.
In any case, I shall go there sometime this morning.
quick question:
i am off to work. if i buy the Wii U can i initialize/setup/use it without a tv from the start?
If yes i am as well buy it before work. and have it update and play a little at work
Disregard this. Just moved the console from semi-enclosed space to an open space. Wifi signal seems much more stable, and best of all, gamepad distance is way better! Bedroom gaming now possibleDoes anybody else's connection drop out & in constantly? :/
Doesn't happen on any of my other devices, just Wii U.
From what I remember, a television is required to initially synchronize the GamePad.anyone?

Yep.
Interesting fact - my version of Zombi U doesn't include the recycling logo cut into the box.

UK too.
You're from Europe, right?
Because I spotted this when I called my PAL version of Xenoblade when it came out. The box was without this shit while Nintendo was and still is doing this practice in NA.
How do we get games icons on Wara Wara?
High speed internet connections are rated in megabits per second. So 1mb/s is actually 128 kbytes per second. That's only 230 megabytes in 30 minutes.
Just picked up my Premium edition from GAME.
Two girls infront of me had pre-ordered a ZombiU edition. They definitely wanted the ZombiU edition, because they paid the extra for it and actually kicked up a fuss when the girl behind the til originally thought their pre-order was only for the Premium. So they pay and the clerk starts bagging up the system. As soon as she does, one of the girls asks her not to as they want to open the box to trade in ZombiU for Mario. The member of staff prices up ZombiU, which she gets just £20 for, and then they pay the extra £30 for Mario.
Absolutely baffling.
Just got mine from there. Deluxe for 349.Has anyone bought it from German Media Markt yet?

Ah great, the system update aborted.
Just got mine from there. Deluxe for 349.
I was so lucky, got there three minutes after they opened and they only had three deluxe bundles left. ZombiU bundle was already sold out. When I left, 3 basic bundles remained.
So Mario is £50 in GAME, then, eh?
So what's the situation around Europe? Stores selling out or still plenty games/consoles?
Does the Wii U itself not come with a Club Nintendo points? Mine had this typical red Club Nintendo leaflet, but it doesn't have a code on it.
I found out this last week and I dont know if it has been talked about but on your bday the music changes on the home screen and confetti rains down on your mii.
Link your console to your account through the eShop and go from there. It's different than normal.
