Games do it too. Mario was cutting off a good chunk of the TV play-area as well. My TV had a setting I could adjust to mitigate the Wii U's failings. Seriously, though, why is this not an issue with PS3 and 360 but it is with Wii U? To answer your question, there's no universal adjustment. Some apps do have screen settings. I believe the browser is one of them, and also Netflix. My best advice to you is to make sure your TV is set to display the image it's being sent without adding anything to it (ie dont use Letterbox mode etc. Set your TV to Full/Just/Native (whichever your TV maker uses to signify this mode).

I also had trouble with the wireless dropping out occasionally, so I changed the channel to channel 13. Whether that will happen for you or it's an isolated problem on my end, I don't know. Figured I'd state it anyway.
