They don't even mention the Wii U in that article.

Austrian newspaper Der Standard reports that Medal of Honor Warfighter will be coming to Wii U.

Nothing.

Yeah, that's strange, all I got was PC, PS3, 360.

Maybe they were alluding to the Wii U in German terms.

In all fairness I think most of us think it's a very likely port this year, being that we're talking about EA who have earned the title "port whore extraordinaire." I'd imagine they'll want to do it just to get frostbite 2 up and running/optimized.

At least I certainly hope so, would hate for them to give us Medal of Honor:Extraction. Not that it'd be a bad game but most of us feel burned by that crap by now and frankly the Wii U hardware isn't different enough to warrant that.

But yeah, not officially announced yet, if it is we have about 53 days to go first.

And for those who wants E3 Bears.

Was Germany one of the countries where Nintendo was having trademark issues? Maybe they are using a different name..

Probably, I don't know if we have any German-gaf to confirm at the moment.

Because it's either ignorance on our part, or all the video-game journalists who linked to the article have gone bat-shit.

Lol, BEARS WILL BLEED!

I think everyone is going to be on edge about the port issue for the first year or so. Lots of paranoia on this issue.

My favorite part of that pic has always been the laughter of Iwata and Miyamoto while Reggie looks like he's practicing some sort of dance move on center stage.

War game leads players in conflicts around the globe
EA has announced the continuation of the war shooter "Medal of Honor." "Medal of Honor: Warfighter" should be the developers to continue to sit on a real crisis event. In contrast to the previous one but leave the battlefields of Afghanistan to turn to a more global conflict. Several dramatic events were linked by a global terrorist threat. EA goes on to direct confrontation with Activision's best selling series "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare."

International

Players assume the role of members of international special forces like the British SAS, German KSK and the U.S. Navy SEALS and embark on missions to rescue hostages in the Philippines or the elimination of pirates on the coast of Somalia. Moreover, a new multiplayer mode was announced called Gladiator, but without giving details.

"Medal of Honor: Warfighter" published on 23 October for PC, PS3, Xbox 360

that's the whole thing.

Yeah, it's unfortunate. Us Nthings are used to getting the third party shaft so we half expect it. Thing is, with development costs ballooning and a much more standard controller and hardware we're hopeful the situation will be rectified.

It's a weird feeling and honestly I'd guess it has a lot of bearing on why these threads haul so much ass.

Yeah, and they aren't burning the midnight oil watching every season of MST3K for nothin' (as if I didn't have enough reasons to love Retro already, they're MSTies!). That alone should tell you whatever they're working on is epic. ;)
So talent from Darksiders, Uncharted 3, and RAGE are now in Retro's pocket. Wow, this'll be the most epic DK game ever! ;)

That MST3K mention makes me think of Killer freaks for some reason, but that's a wholly wrong company.

Is that the one with the twilight princess collective orgasm?

Alas I am going to shelve it for a little while as I am going to work on another project that I am super excited about. I can't talk about it too much but if all goes well it might just be one of my crowning achievements as an artist....

IT'S ZELDA GUYS

On the plus side, there's always the chance that they try to show-off and people end-up saying, "that's it? It's nice.. but it certainly isn't mind-blowing." In that case, they could end-up inadvertantly helping Nintendo out.

I guess it would depend on what the targeted specs are for the PS4 and XB720. CG lighting and AA would still look very good and make realtime stuff on WiiU look weak.

That is if they show anything since they've both said they wouldn't.

If UE4 PC games are shown I expect there to be speculation PS4 and XB720 games will look like that.

IT'S ZELDA GUYS

It's hard to imagine anyone using that kind of language for anything other than an established franchise. can't see anyone say that about a new IP or an unpopular IP. Sounds like fanboy talk after getting to work on one of his favorite franchise.

I still hope it's a spinoff.

You're right about the expectations game. We're used to the shaft, but this is going to be the first time in a while where we're hitting a junction point - a point where things could possibly change. So we're going to be hyper-sensitive until a direction is determined.

Just wait until we have actual news. This is nuthin'. :)

In all seriousness, is anybody really expecting a brand new Zelda reveal this soon after SS released? It ain't Zelda, no way would EAD ever relinquish the IP fully to Retro, it would be a company sacrilege. A Zelda spinoff maybe, at some point, but no way a mainline title.

shush with your logic

we live and breath HYPE in this thread

That being said, we got that tech demo before Skyward Sword was released. The Spaceworld 2000 tech demo was shown before Majora's Mask was released. The next year at E3, we got our first look at Wind Waker. Who knows.

Well, Retro does have experience with shooting games. I'm not saying that it's Link's Advanced Crossbow Training, but... grab your green hoods, folks!

Hmm.. color me skeptical of any announcements or spinoffs. But my interest is piqued.. the dude is seriously stoked, it seems.

Basically I view these threads as us chewing our nails down to the quick repeatedly... with the countdown clock to total meltdowns starting in just under 2 months!

Or in the case of a few less stable folks, possibly tomorrow.

Killer Freaks' title is just pointless. They should just go all out with something like say..."The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed Up Zombies." RE killer right there.

Don't forget Smiles and Cries' mini-countdown to the 26th.. we might be seeing meltdowns sooner than you think!

I can see them announcing a Zelda for 3DS but no Wii U version just yet.

Obviously Majoras Mask HD as a launch title.

No.

"We got lazy and just took the Raving Rabbids design and turned them into monsters that represent exactly what is wrong with Ubisoft as a whole." Would be more fitting.
