I hope Mike Lizard and Jim Ballsy make an appearance. Those guys deserve a ton of credit for winning the war against Apple. Hopefully they can take on this next battle against Google from the sidelines. I'm confident they will.

Well, the CIBC mobile site can do almost everything you would want so the app really isn't that necessary IMO (although I would be nice of course). I have the app on the wife's iPad but I have no problems using the browser to do banking on the Lumia. CIBC also outsources a lot of their mobile apps so it's more complicated than just making one in house.

Yeah my Titan will be the last HTC I purchase. I've been happy with the phone, but HTC's nearly zero support post-release of their devices (at least the WP ones) has irked me. At least with Nokia, I know that they will support their devices.

Speaking of my Titan though, anyone heard of this issue? lastflowers, is this a known issue? Is there a solution?

So my Calendar tile keeps displaying a meeting from two days ago. I deleted that meeting from my calendar, unpinned and repined the tile, and even removed the account with that calendar item from my phone and re-added it, and it's still there. Help? (7.5)

We went to check out Nokia Lumia 620 today and come home with one. It's a cute little phone and pretty snappy. I don't think it is that ugly, and interchangeable back is nice. I try to convince my daughter to get yellow color but she went with cyan instead. It is a steal at $264.00 USD for this phone and best yet it comes with Portico and unlocked.

Nokia is really promoting the Lumia here, there are signs everywhere. Not many accessories sadly, I pick up a decent wallet case for about $12.
I will post some pictures later.

Wallet/paypal question. I have added a paypal account to my wallet now, but since I have no CC, I skipped the part to add a CC during the paypal setup via the Wallet app. Now I purchased something in the WP8 store on the Phone, tried PayPal and it worked - but nothing appears on my paypal account and the credit is still the same.

What happened?

Speaking of availability, is it possible for winphone8 users to rent a movie on Xbox music and transfer it to the phone? I know you could do that on 7.5, but I don't know if that's something else we lost in this transition. It looks like you can definitely rent and view movies through a BlackBerry 10 device, and that's not something you can do on windows phone. Can you rent and stream from apple and android devices, or are we the only platform incapable of renting movies right from the phone?

Movies are on Xbox Video but I don't think WP8 can use them. WP7 definitely could though.

@van No we can not watch Xbox video on Windows Phone 8 isn't that lame.

This will be an async game right? I just played part of the first level on my train ride this morning but it seems cool, but I haven't played many games like this so not sure how good my "strategies" will be. I'd be up for a game, but you'll have to forgive me if I sometimes can't take my next turn right away.

Yeah, there'll be no expectation of taking turns immediately. Asynch all the way. I'll make the game shortly. No worries on this one since we're all new to the game.
