World of Final Fantasy |OT| Lightning Inside

They're not all that bad. There's a Lightning Speed Run one that's perfectly fine.but half the other's I just quit and skipped since I just could not be be bothered to deal with the RNG. Thie is someone who wasn't tyat bothered by FFX minigames where my primary annoyance were the poor controls of the chocobo itself.

You're only forced to play them once each, and even then you can skip them from the start menu, so if you just want to finish the game they're relatively painless. That said, they have one trophy each, and sadly even if you don't care about that there are completion rewards in the form of mirages.

Oh ok, thanks for the responses. I made myself grind those X mini-games for the Platinum. Fuck that lightning jumping lol, if it's anything close to that I might bow out.

So I finished thrvfirst cave/boss and beat
Shiva
and got the hammer item for the sidequest. However, I went back to the city, but the npc isn't there? Dies he come back after the next event?

You don't have to talk to the npcs to turn in quests. You can also turn them in from the menu.

I'm at 43 hours and the only trophy I have left is to open all the treasure chests... Does anyone know of a list or guide for this? Its going to suck trying to find them all =\

I guess it's about time for me to go get the first ending. 54 hours in and 74% mirages imprismed before the Chainroad. I think I have every single mirage that can be captured in the wild so far.

This Pro update is a mess though. In some camera positions the entire background is just a blur. Too bad I already factory reset my OG PS4 and packed it up for selling.

Favorite npc in the game so far? "Yahoody-hoody-hoo!" :P

Also, just got to the Coliseum intervention scene with
Tifa vs. Tonberry/Cactuar/Moogle.
Good stuff. lol

That guy is a legend, I think I must of talked to him like five or six times the first time I encountered him purely to hear his insane speech patterns. Although I also got a lot of love for deep voiced Tomberry in the arena.

I asked this before and didn't get an answer but what are the best combos for characters and mirages? There are a ton of combos and I keep evolving and leveling characters and now I have so many I don't know what ones to concentrate on.

Also, I'm not sure what the graphics issue is you guys are having on the Pro. On my 4K tv it looks sharp, certainly not worse then it did on my base PS4.

Sometimes I think they didn't think the stacking mechanic through properly, or they'd realise how poorly it can work. If you're fighting a tough enemy or boss, getting toppled once or having one death (sometimes due to the move Death!) can put you in a never ending loop of 'have 3 weak unstacked party members even at full health> enemy does AoE> die> revive> 3 weak members> AoE> death' and so on and on until I either run out of items or just quit in frustration since I'm not getting anywhere.

Yeah I know you can say don't allow yourself to be toppled or let someone die. But sometimes that's unavoidable (Death), some monsters can one shot topple you like Behemonster, or you can get unlucky on a crit, therefore you need to constantly be topped off health wise. There's not even a one use get out jail free rare item since the things that revive you to full health (Yuna/Mega Phoenix) leave you unstacked. There should be a way to recover a situation.

:Someone who 15 minutes on a boss following a different boss hoping that he eventually used a singke target attack on the perfectly healthy stack so I could carry on. But no constant AoE's or one shotting the unstacked people even when they have full health :(

The issue is mainly on 1080p TVs when using the pro.

There's no best combo. Choose a combination you like, make sure it covers elemental weaknesses well and run with that. All the starter mirages are good picks. Stick with one team for levels generally.

I think I've only ever been one shot toppled once in the game having completed basically everything. Have a high agi mirage, when you revive it, it'll be able to act fast enough to restack.

Stacking doesn't particularly bother me. With a good set up you rarely have to worry about it.

Wobblestoppers / defend. If a boss casts death, unstack. Not that many enemies cast death.

I don't think I ever wiped in this game, it's real easy to overlevel accidentally. Almost every boss has a hilariously effective weakness, or uses elemental attacks you can stack to 100% res for and literally take zero damage. The only fight in the game that's annoying with aoe spam was
bahamut
.

What's everyone's favorite mirage? Personally, werebat. Dodge and counter is broken, and his agi/str is glorious, especially for a small.

Rest of my stacks kind of float around, but Shiva and kid ifrit are usually involved.

Question for those who bought the digital version: do i get the JP voice packs for both Vita & PS4 when i buy the Vita version?

Edit: Went ahead and bought it lol. And the answer is yes, you do get the DLCs for both versions.

In truth the game has generally been too easy. Assuming I play properly that is. Since it's generally too easy, I quite often lull myself into holding R1 and spamming moves on Basic style. I've since redone the fight from before and done it easily enough. Just paid more atttention and didn't let them die or be toppled.

My point was once a death or a topple has already happened, at that point it is extremely hard to recover from since the unstacked people are so vulnerable. They will kill someone and while the animation of them being revived is happening the boss practically has another turn already, even against some high Agility things like Zapt, so they just die again. Unless I'm missing something, I just need to get lucky with a single target attack against my remaining Stack, but that just doesn't seem to work against some AoE heavy bosses.

Defending only puts you halfway down the atb, you can use that to time it so you revive the stack immediately after the boss acts, and generally one of the unstacked should be able to restack and heal before the boss has another turn.

I just finished what I think is the final dungeon. Wtf they were thinking? 2 hrs of corridors in a bland and boring enviroment with bland and boring encounters. I thought couldn't get worse than the
crystal tower
but well I was wrong.

I'm in the postscript and still feel like I'm playing the game wrong this whole time lol. Skimming around online it seems like most folks just recommend having stacks of L-sized Ramuh/Ifriit/Shiva, M-sized main characters and S-sized Ramuh/Ifriit/Shiva characters and then later on there's a couple of very specific recommendations. I just feel like I've never found a good stack setup for me and I'm struggling more than I should be :/

I've been sticking with Right Claw and Mist Dragon. That regen is so good, and Right Claw has a great variety of moves (and No Escape) and a lot of blank spaces on his board for customization.

Yeah, it kind of dragged on too long. I immediately thought of Orphan's Cradle from FFXIII when I first entered it.

Started post game today. Just beat
Bahamut
and
Diabolos
. After beating
Bahamut
, which was a challenging fight, I expected the other 5 star interventions to be of similar difficulty, but I facerolled
Diabolos
. I guess I started with the hardest fight.

You know I was really worried this game wouldn't have any tentacle rape innuendo but then I did the Ultros intervention and whew.

I really want to get back into this game but the update for Pro users on a 1080p TV makes it difficult. It really does look bad and distracting. Hopefully it gets ironed out soon because it's such a great game. Would love to complete it before XV comes out.

Just play how you want, the game is so easy it doesn't really matter what you use. Beat the EX dungeons and all Coliseum bosses without any issues at all just using basic mirages from early game.

I walked 4 out of 5 of the last boss battles. Which gave me a false sense of security for the final one, who killed me when I was about 2 attacks away from killing him. Pretty peeved.

Oh boy. Fighting
Shantotto
right now. Should've brought gravity. I'm too strong to lose without doing it on purpose it seems, but I'm hitting for around 500 and she seems to have around 300,000 HP. Haven't saved in a while, otherwise I'd reset and bring someone with gravity.

Guys - I feel like this is a stupid question, and I don't know if I missed something in the explanations.

Princess Flan and Ultros both say to face them with only one party member to get the prisimtunity... How do I do this? Having one party member die during the fight doesn't trigger a prismtunity, and I don't see an option not to have one of the twins/stacks take part.

What am I missing? Sigh.

Finally beat
Shantotto
. Used every single attack item I had, which was a lot, and just whaled on her after that. Took a whole hour.

You need unstack and have two of that stack die too. Just one left alive.

I beat all the intervention quests and Coliseum battles and then ran around like an idiot, not knowing what to do next before it dawned on me to talk to Seraphie.

What a huge waste of items and time. You should've just killed yourself.

I don't regret a thing. Victory lol. Even won some slightly altered after fight dialogue.
Spell items aren't that useful if you have a high enough magic attack anyway, and the number of enemies who can stand up to me are dwindling. It's just the level 90+ coliseum mirages now.

Man, clicking on this thread and having this pop up as the first thing I saw without context or what it was quoting made me spit out my water like "Damn dude, I dunno what he said but you don't need to go there, jesus!"

Meanwhile I didn't realize the game would be so nice when you transfig to a different Mirage Board and just give you the whole amount of AP. Cut my work getting every Mirage down by like hours.

Few questions:

Is there ant way to improve your chances to catch monsters or is it 100% luck? I swear it seems reducing hp doesn't seem to do anything.

Secondly, there are some mirages with nodes to unlock boards of other mirages, am I supposed to be able to access them somehow?

1. Repeat the action that causes a monster to imprism. So if a mirage says "Cause Berserk" then hit it with Berserk a couple more times. There are either 3 or 4 stages of "imprisming" with tougher to capture mirages needing to be at later stages. You can kinda tell because the shimmering around them will get bigger or more obvious.

2. You have to transfig them into said mirage to access their board.
