World of Final Fantasy |OT| Lightning Inside

Some advice to those starting out. Buy at least one of each status CAUSING item from Chocolatte. You'll encounter some enemies that can only be captured if you (for example) blind them, or oblivion them etc, and at that point in the game you'll likely -not- have a mirage that can use magic to do that.

Just saw a video of one of the secret boss Rairamuh, if this is a example of optional secret boss, this is freaking disappointing, he kill in 5 min top with 0 challenge.
 
I only got to play the first 3 chapters tonight since UPS came so late, but omg its so much better than the demo. The US voices are fine except Tama, she is annoying af. They probably should have used any of the first 3 chapters as the demo instead of that piece of crap they gave us last week.

If they don't fix the game soon on the store I'll buy something else with the money I've put in my wallet and won't buy this game anymore.

I've been trying all day and could not buy it. They really don't give a fuck for Vita.
 
Okay, I'm at the first dungeon, and here's something I don't get. Let's say I weaken a mirage, it's got the stuff around it and everything. Cool! But for whatever reason, the little fucker won't be captured. Is it because I have to get a prism for that? Where do I get those? I weakened him as the Libra suggested (physical attacks,it's the rock dude), but I still can't capture any of them.

I feel like I'm missing something.

Also, are you guys going big or small with your sizes? Seems better to go big until you get things you can ride.

think you just have to get them lower HP (like they look tired when they're critical hp) and then RNG

Pretty much. Can't buy it on the store because CERO Z rating which isn't even accurate. Can't buy it on the Vita because of the same bullshit. I'm about to rage.

Some enemies it takes more than a few attempts. Capturing that black chocochick took like 10 attempts.

Also, the subdue ability is great. It damages enemies but won't ever kill them. I've had situations where enemies were too fragile to just lower their health without killing them.
 
The localization of this game is extremely loose. I mean, it's obviously done to appeal more to the western market, but yeah, it's quite noticeable with even a semi-decent understanding of Japanese. Plenty of times the Japanese dialog and the subtitles are miles apart.

Not a criticism though - just noting!

Game is awesome so far.

The moogle/tonberry/chocobo/Magitek armor have to be
fought using the coliseum tickets then imprismed in the coliseum
which is chapter 4ish.
Highly recommend Magitek Armor. It's one of the first L size things I've tried and it's abilities are pretty sweet and tanky.

The Sephiroth Champion just has to be selected after
buying the WoL champion from the Girl who Forgot her Name in the main town
also around chapter 4ish
 
Oh god my eyes. I should not have gotten the Vita version. The low resolution + upscaling makes the game look smeared to me. I wish I had gotten the PS4 version now.

I'd try on my OLED but my slim is updated to 3.61 and my OLED is for homebrew :(

Just got to chapter 7. Man, chibi form is the way to go! I got the claw and the white armor from the demo and just laying waste to everything. lol

Thanks for the advice. Will keep it in mind for when I finally can start the game. It's starting to get frustrating seeing everyone in the thread moving along with it and me not even been able to buy it. Lol.

Hi, you need to check the condition first on the myrage board you want to transform. For example, viewing the Chocobo one will only require to have the chocochix at level 10.

And there is a couple cool mirages in Icicle Ridge I want to capture, but they die in one hit. lol
 
I guess my team was half ass and half great because my rock boys were tanking the first boss
(I picked Ifrit)
while my choco boy got wrecked. Might have to bench him in favor of Tama or another fave in the next area.

I don't know how I'm going to make it through this game with a set team, but I figure I'll be fine if I just stick to my favorite characters from the games, the little choco being the exception.

Also, one thing that is in the guide that I don't think was said in the game is that if you apply their catch condition multiple times (like it says to heal, and you go and heal them 3 times) that will up the chances of capturing them more than just doing it once. This really helps with the rare black colored monster you encounter early on.

They're not showing up there for me. I'm in the Coliseum and can't use the tickets or they're not automatically being used.

Has anyone else been able to access the pre-order DLC content in-game yet?

Go to abilities, find Cure or any healing ability and press Triangle. If the ability costs too much AP, change to Stack version by pressing Start/Options button.

It showed up fine for me, they just look like normal coliseum fights though

You can make it use the stack's AP!? I was going to say using cure outside of battle seemed pointless since it took 3 out of the 4 AP of one of my monsters.
 
Exentryk, thank you will give it a try. Otherwise I am 4 hours into it and digin it. That demo is no reflection of what this game. Deff pick it up folks you won't regret it.

Cool, thanks. I'm kinda on the fence still. I'm not usually a big fan of cute KH-esques (no offense intended to KH fans; I'm using a bad analogy here admittedly) but I'm a damn near lifelong Final Fantasy fanatic so I might dig this for all its fun fan service.

Having just finished the demo, I had a feeling the full game would be way better. I think part of that is attributed to the demo having zero story.

I'm a bit disappointed with the performance of the Vita version, but it's great on PS4. I definitely don't have time for another game, especially an RPG, but I'm really tempted to pick it up anyway. It's too cute.

EDIT: That song at the end of the demo's final trailer is hype. :o

I was really back and forth on this for the same reasons. However, seeing how big a Final Fantasy fan I am I couldn't let myself pass it up. Copy arrives in 2 days, gives me time to get through Battlefield 1 campaign.
