World of Final Fantasy |OT| Lightning Inside

Well that is fucking stupid.

I already deleted and reinstalled the game because.....who the fuck does that? I lost the magitek armor because of it.

Man, that is the dumbest, no where did it say that both audios had to be downloaded.
Yeah, messaging was really weird.
Japanese VO pack was always DLC so it was expected.

But they never said anything about an English VO pack. People found out there were no english voices when they got retail copies.

Then yesterday was a mess with the Cero rating debacle, noone of the VO packs, then they put the japanese one by mistake, removed it and finally put the english pack.

Can't buy this during launch, but does anyone know if I can still get the sepiroth summon and other things that come with the day one edition later in the future as dlc, maybe? Or is it all in-game and you just get it earlier for getting the D1 edition? Thanks.

I stopped playing so I could download the English patch in vita. I love what I've played so far of this and can't wait until they up the fanservice.

They're DLC. No word on later release. Maybe it will be as paid DLC at some point.

While day one editions could last a aross some retailers for months, some (even one user in here) have reported not getting Day One Editions despite preordering.

I think the whole game and voice acting has been fairly good so far, Chapter 5 now for me.

Even Tama's use of "the" is cute.

There was a dark time, long ago, where I spoke like that, only with "meows" instead because I really love cats.

Does anyone have a deathskull and if you do what is the prism condition?
I saw some random mentioning of oblivion online but no idea what that is.

Just received my Collector's Edition today since it was slightly held up while in customs. The story book containing all the contents was quite a joy to open up and rummage through all items.

The in stock Limited Editions were up for too long on Amazon.ca and I couldn't resist any longer. Damn. That Prime discount didn't help either.

I just need a colourful game in my life and love Final Fantasy.

Just got to that part. Haha, yeah, oops. That can't be on purpose. Someone forgot to tell the localize guy its suppose to be
Midgar
.
Apparently it was on purpose. The other place is the name of some other thing in the game.

Inflict it with Oblivion per the game guide. Oblivion is a status ailment. Check Cocolina in Nine Wood Hills, she sells items that inflict the ailment.

In chapter 5, really loving the game but I feel like I am maybe overthinking the Stacking mechanic at this point? I've got Lann stacked up with physical dudes and he does great damage, and I'm trying to use Reynn as more of a mage with magic characters but she seems to do shit damage to enemies with magic in general (not an enemy-specific resist situation). Is magic just not super viable early on or am I doing it wrong?

I actually have Reynn set up for magic as well, but your abilities improve based on who have you stacked.

For example stacking multiple fire characters would get you Fira, Firaga, Channel Element: Fire, etc. and physical characters would get you Cross Slash and I'm pretty sure there are other skills too.

The stat buffs from the Mirage Boards also make a big difference in the long run.

Holy shit I just captured
Cerebus
, XL mirage with 25k XP!

Remember, it's best to utilize an XL that you've built from it's baby form. For Cerberus it's the white/black Nakk puppies. Because all the stat bonuses you unlock and buy carry over from form to form. Making the XL version stronger. Versus getting an isolated XL version in which you'll just be upgrading from that particular mirage board form (i.e, XL).

Yeah I just now finally got a second Mirage that has fire spells to stack with Tama so we'll see if that helps, I had a Black Nakk before which has fire attacks but they're physical and not magic so it didn't work in that regard. I guess I'm just too early for my stats to be high enough to have that by itself make enough of a difference; I thought stacking two magic characters would raise the Magic stat enough to make it worthwhile but it doesn't seem to be panning out that way yet.

The rate at which you get new mirages has my OCD going nuts in terms of leveling people up and getting their boards filled out etc lol. Not actually grinding out xp or anything like that yet though.

Right, worse case though can't you actually work backwards and still buy upgrades from the previous transfigs of a creature? I got one Mirage (one of the goblins maybe?) that was the 2nd "tier" and I could still access the first tier's board and whatnot. I mean that's still more work but if you didn't already have the earlier version leveled up you could at least work backwards?

A couple of tips and PSA's

1) Buy status causing items from chocolatte. Certain enemies can only be captured if you for example, poison / blind / berserk them etc., and many times you won't have the ability to do so at such point without them.

2) When a mirage is ready to grow to it's next form. You do so by going to Selphy at nine wood hills, and press the options button to transfigure. I thought you can do this in the game's menu at anytime but apparently not.

3) You can use abilities like cure outside of battle. Go to abilities, find a character with that spell, highlight it and press triangle. Honestly though, it's better to just stack up on potions for out of battle healing.

4) It's always best to level up a mirage to it's large form starting from it's small "puppy" form. As the abilities and bonuses gained stack form to form. So a XL Cerberus grown from a Nakk will be stronger than an isolated XL Cerberus.

5) Get into a habit of at least keeping (be it in your back up stack or main stack - it doesn't matter) of a mirage that can sizzle, smash or flutter. But it must be with you, in some capacity. Not back with Selphy.

6) Go the Twins room, and check the Playstation 1. It's how you access a bunch of encyclopedia stuff. Tons of new information and really helpful to learn about a previous Final Fantasy character that you're unaware. For example there was a character from Cyrstal Chronicles that I had no fucking idea about because I never played that game.

7) Do Intervention Side Quests from the Tea Room Girl. FUNNY AS FUCK. Shit some of them are more entertaining than the main quest scenarios.

* There are tons more but those are basic things that I expect you to know. Battle speed, active/wait, press R1 to fast forward, etc.

Questions about the DLC...

I beat the demo last week. How do I DL the Magitek Armor P for the full game now that I have it?

I have the CE of the game and already downloaded and installed the DLC from that and the Square Enix email that I got. Is there other DLC that I'm missing or do I have it all?

The game should ask you when you start a new game to load up your demo save. Then when you get to the Coliseum the ticket will show up as a fight you just select.

All you have to do is play through the game until you unlock the coliseum and then you can capture it there.

Yeah. Of course.

But for me, for instance I have a Fenrir that was leveled up enough to go to XL form. But obviously I couldn't because I didn't unlock the scenario / memento to do so. Once I captured Cerberus from the main story, my Fenrir could now transfigure to Cerberus. And that Cerberus was far stronger than the Cerberus the story gave me. So I put that Cerberus in the toaster, and just focused on my Fenrir. He'll be my Cerberus.

And that's what I'm warning people against. Sometimes the game will give you a Large or an X-Large, but your mirages that you have would be a better fit. Just transfigure them up.

For example, I have a babyhemoth that I've been leveling up. I know where I can get a Behemoth, but I won't actually use that Behemoth because I'll just transfigure up my babyhemoth to it's own Behemoth which is at a higher level.

Of course, it also depends on stack make up. Sometimes you want a S form or M form. After all, if we keep transfiguring up we'll have too many overpowered Large mirages and weak medium and small mirages.

Oh my god, thank you so much. I was wondering how to do it, and my attempts to google it weren't turning anything up.
