World of Final Fantasy |OT| Lightning Inside

Japanese VO is DLC for everyone who buys the day one edition. English voices need to be downloaded if you have the vita version because neither English or Japanese VO is on the cart.

In short, if you're buying the game for the Vita you'll need around 500~ mb for the Japanese voices.

Edit: Only the PS4 version comes with the English voices on the disc.

What if the physical copy I end up getting is NOT the "day one" edition? Will I end up not being able to get the Japanese voices at all?

Where are you from? Maybe it will only be available in UK in 10mn when it will be midnight. If you're on the continent, search by name, you'll find it.

Portugal. I did, only gets me the demos and the day one pre-order thingy. Maybe at midnight it'll show up.

So how are we meant to preorder the vita version D:

Can't preorder vita games in EU/NA. The day one edition should be available for a month. That's how it usually goes with vita versions.

No Japanese voices if you don't have the day one edition. I have the same issue where I most likely won't get the day one edition because of a store screw up, so I'm hoping SE will make the Japanese VO available outside of the day one edition somehow.

I just caught Valefor from the coliseum, skipped the Cockatrice hullabaloo.

She's pretty useful. Has high agility. Can inflict slow. Has Energy Ray for non elemental mob clearing.

If you already put in SP points into your cockatrice. You can now use that mirage to transform into Valefor now that you've captured it separately.

The amazon.ca listing claims it's the "standard edition", hence my doubts.

But that could just be amazon.ca's usual incompetence.

Oh and one last question: I think I heard that the Vita version was missing some online feature? Is it worth bothering with, or no biggie?

I don't mean to possibly twist words, but they could mean the standard day one edition, not the collector's edition.

As for the online feature, I'm not sure yet.

Ha, I love the flavor text in this game.

[Babyhemoth]
Don't rock-a-bye this baby, or you'll be sorry when it counters. Those horns are pretty sharp! You probably have some theories about what this will turn into when it grows up. Those theories are quite correct.

Okay, i just spent like 30 minutes getting to the 2nd exit of this sliding puzzle and I don't have a Mirage with Smash FML. Time to spend 80 hours trying to get to the third exit.

These endgame minigame focused interventions are the worst.

TRUTH.
The Battleships one is fundamentally broken, the Blitzball one is crushingly slow and tedious and I'm not even sure the Cactuar one is possible. The Lightning one is okay but it's just QTEs without prompts or logical button placement. Also, you'll be super glad to hear that there's a Trophy tied to playing each at length in the Twins' Room.

I'm looking for some advice on chapter 5 optional stuff:
I caught that special Princess Goblin and it catapulted me from lv 11 to lv 19 on most of my dudes. Uh... I almost feel like I should reset since the game will be way too easy like this. I don't mind if it just trivializes chapter 5 and balances out by chapter 6 or so. What do?

I'm only 7-8 hours in but I love the main characters. I doubt we'll get a sequel but I want one just to see them =[

They're about as plain and tropey as it gets, what's so special about them?

It's not a hard game. Unless you're purposely trying to challenge yourself it'll be easy no matter what.

For now, I've at least had to wait for each action to resolve to see if it kills a dude before making my next action. That's a step above just mash X while doing something else, which would be the case if I'm this high level.

Damnit I caved and bought this. I'd better get the Day One edition or I will not be happy. Does it have anywhere on the packaging saying it's day one?

Game is like any Final Fantasy, for random encounters the first time you need to libra them for weakness/imprism information, but the bulk of random mobs you can just mash X through. Actually you don't even need to do that, just press touch pad for auto battle.

The bosses and optional fights are the only place you'll find challenge, and not much of one. The most fun probably comes from fulfilling imprism requirements.

How did you do that, by the way? I'm past that chapter and didn't even know that was possible.

I bought 2 of the flash bombs from the shop. They're consumables that blind enemies, so that satisfies the prismtunity. Capturing her gives you the full exp value, I think. Took a few reloads to get it, but I didn't expect to get THIS much exp...

Actually, I meant,
where did you find her? I didn't even encounter her at all, unless you're talking about the Intervention Mission. Are those repeatable? I just assumed once you'd completed it, you were done.

I didn't even know you could capture her >_>

The Interventions are repeatable and don't cost any shards (or whatever they're called) once you've spent them initially, you just get lame completion rewards. But I guess they do that to avoid missing out on things like that.

I did the first two intervention missions. She's not capturable there. I got an NPC quest to kill some goblins (I'm pretty sure this isn't related), so I walked out of Cornelia. She was right outside on the first screen.

The Maduin memento is locked behind clearing the Figaro one in under 20 turns without losing an ally. Trying to get it has been driving me insane due to how luck/RNG dependent the first couple turns are in that game.

Princess Goblin is bae. I was dying at her dialogue and the asides she was throwing out after the mission.

OOOOOOHHHHHH MYYYY GAAAAAWWWWWDDDDDDDD

"Just...call me if you need something and I'll be there in a goblin minute"

*stands around awkwardly for like a minute*

"...right."

I already have it, which I put down to pure RNG luck on my third run, where Vivi just cleaned up. It's just that, though - luck. No skill to that or any of the other mini-games, which is a real shame. This world was crying out for Triple Triad.

And this is what I get for not going back to town to talk to people. Oh well, looks like I'm making a return trip.

Loving the game so far but i've gotten confused. My copper golem reached level 10 and i unlocked the next version of him but he isn't in my lists to use in stacking, just the old copper golem. what am i doing wrong??

So...does the Reynn/Lann dynamic ever evolve past the *idiot statement/action followed by condescension/nagging? Loving the game, but only 2 hours in and that's getting old.

Can someone explain Transfigs?

This is how i'm guessing it's done based on my playtime so far:
Some mirages are part of the same group. These mirages can transfig into each other.

However, what is this bit about sharing mirage boards?

So is there any news about the pre order bonuses for the Vita version since SE completely ballsed it up for the digital version?

I can see a few DLC items in my queue for the ps4 version without equivalents and since it's invisible on the store due to being exclusive there's no way to check if it's a situation where the Vita version would be marked as free for purchase via Cross buy.

Someone tell me the last few chapters are super long? I'm barely 17 hours in and hit chapter 17.

I'm doing every thing in my path. Intervene quests, coliseum. How is the story 40 hours? Just not seeing it.

Just finished my first session with the game. Got up to chapter 4 and unlocked coliseum/tea room.

I really gotta say....I am enjoying this game more than I expected to. I thought it was going to be fan service and nothing but fan service but I'm getting more than that out of it so far.

How is the vita version? I've picked it up and just waiting to see if I should unwrap it.

It's so hard to hear about if vita versions are any good these days. I think dragon quest builders was real good on the vita even with some slight performance issues. I just like playing RPGs on portables a lot more.

Try out the demo. I generally prefer the Vita port for most games, but I really didn't like the resolution and framerate on this one.

I spoke too soon. Undead Princess da best.

These intervention quests are by far the best.
"Which is great for my hex life"

Dead.
