World of Final Fantasy |OT| Lightning Inside

So I just unlocked the coliseum last night...am I now able to go fight Ifrit/Shiva and imprism them or is there some other requirement you need to meet to be able to fight them?

I haven't done it yet, but I think someone on a previous page said you can.

Quick question, if I leave an area will I be able to return to it at anytime over the course of the game or does it lock you out of certain places?

You can.

For me, they appeared after I did a few battles, randomly hijacking my battle against the Moogles

I really want to buy this and Dragon Quest Builders but I can't help but feel they'll get discounts soon with the holidays coming. It's so hard to be patient!

Figures my local game shop had sold out their miniscule shipment before I got there. All the while in the corner I could see a mountain of Tomb Raider PS4.

SE and gamestore pls.

I don't think anyone's posted it yet but I was able to buy the vita version from my phone with wallet funds so Sony must have fixed the listing.

I can't get myself to move on to a next chapter until I catch all of the creatures. I didn't enjoy the demo but still got the game and now I am hooked.

Does the earlier parts of the world close off when you finish a chapter? Like Dragon Quest Builders? Or are you able to always access earlier parts of the game? I hope its the second option.

I'm on chapter 18, and I can go anywhere. Nothing is locked.

I was going to get this but then I learned the Japanese audio is locked to the day one edition?
Places don't seem to be selling that.
This really sucks.

Yay this arrived!

So glad I got the LE for this. It is really just a fun game full of cuteness and humor. The battle system's customizability with an optional speed boost is something that should probably be an industry-wide standard for similar JRPGs.

Agreed. Cranking up the speed helps in making it feel like your on-the-fly decision making actually matters. Pair that with a no-grinding mentality and the game seems like it could possibly (I am still in the early chapters) maintain a decent difficulty.

As far as I know, every copy that currently exists is a Day One Edition since they likely haven't done a second print run yet. You should be able to just pick it up at a store or whatever and get it. This has been the norm for most SE games lately.

It's not. Plenty of people in EU, me included, got non-day one editions of the game despite preordering them because SE decided to be silly.

Oh damn, that sucks. I figured it would be like the recent SE releases where Day One editions would still be available months later. That's pretty shitty of them if so.

Yeah, I thought so too. Can't even get a replacement because the stores don't have any more day one editions.

Square Enix's retarded "Day One" nonsense sure is fun and pro-consumer.

Still hesitant on ordering the game.

In related news it looks like they FINALLY fixed the whole "this game is CERO Z rated" issue on NA PSN. However the game would end up more expensive than Amazon so I don't really wanna get it that way.

I wish there were seperate codes for the DLC. I'll never use the Japanese vo patch and you would have had the code sitting in your PM box right now.

They should have just tuned the combat to be fast paced without requiring a manual toggle.

Quite frankly I'm surprised they didn't just map cheat codes to face buttons like they keep doing for the PS1 ports, after all, who has time to play video games these days???

Ok, the boss in Chapter 18 is getting on my nerves. He has a super move that kills everyone in one hit, can't seem to block it.

It's
dark-elemental based so try to build your resistances off that. 100 is enough to nullify it no matter what.
You can also focus the minions first and then the boss.

I checked out trading post online for this game... used search all criteria and came back with 0 matches...

Is it just me or is there no point to trading since:

mirages dont have IV's (pokemon)
no exclusive mirages (except for CE/preorder ones)
no shiny mirages
trading isnt required for transfigurring ala Pokemon

Either SE will roll out DLC that provides incentives to trade or SE will have to somehow patch the game to make trading essential because its already DOA (dead on arrival)

If you need a mirage, it's just easier to go find it yourself than to camp the trading post until someone has it up for trade. Not many would give away an unique mirage especially since WoFF seems to limit 1 save per PSN account?

WoFF is a great game if you like the genre, however, this game was set up that doesn't really need trading, so I wonder

Thank you! I just made a Vampire Prime and that did the trick.

This
Crystal Tower
dungeon is so annoying, its big, and random encounters is making it seem longer.

Yeah, that section is a grind.
But remember to return to the bottom and discover a titan for capture. It's my favorite mirage yet.

I really hope World of Final Fantasy becomes its own little series.

Bonus points if it just morphs into World of Square Enix. I want something super off kilter like chibi Bushido Blade people

My only issue, and I'm sure it's my fault, is that I never get enough SP to level up my dudes' arsenal once they digivolve. I have a Kupapirate and he's useless because he has nothing spell wise. It's kinda slow goings, and I'm almost inclined to just pick up the evolved versions when I find them despite the fact that building them up from the ground makes them stronger at the end of the day.

Yeeeees. It'd never happen, but I'd love some Nier. All of Kaine's dialogue would have to be bleep censored.

WoFF meets Drakengard... I think I'd need some alcohol.

It's probably not worth worrying about, keeping mirages for the long haul isn't necessary at the rate you catch and with exp later areas give. Just use whoever is best in the moment and grind them all out at the end game.

Seeing as there's a trophy for mastering 100 mirage boards, I suspect it's pretty easy to do later on.

A shame. I had a team I wanted to run, but I'll probably keep my behemoth and myril giant and just switch out dudes as I go.
