World of Final Fantasy |OT| Lightning Inside

This game is really beautiful, if they use same kind of emotion and animation in cutscenes and in general for Kingdom Hearts 3 I have high hopes for it, possibly one of my favourite visual styles in long time. Lann and Reynn are goofy and have lot of different faces which is really nice cause they're delivered so well.
I'm in Chapter 7 currently and biggest negative I have is the battle system, fans of turn-based will like it but just feels "outdated" nowadays, I guess I'm part of the problem why FF7R won't have it.
How many chapters there is in the game?

Urgh. Ultima Weapon is a pain. I caught Master Tonberry by using Petty Grudge. Take over 100,000 damage and it'll do 29,999 damage. Enough to put both of them into imprism state. Master Tonberry gets put into a high tier state and is easy to catch afterwards.

Ultima Weapon gets put into a low tier state. After failing to catch him several times after hours of trying, I've given up and am grinding a vampire to level 99 for the absorb Magic method that lets "aja" spells break 25k. It's all I have left for platinum.

Use a Bahamut at least level 60 with Last Stand as his mastery

Finally beat the post-script. Still got a few last mirages to round up and side quests to do.

The CG models used in the outro cinematic definitely needed to be used in the PS4 version, athough quite quickly after starting the game I realized that this was probably made for VITA and then ported with minimal effort to PS4.

The vampires have an attack that lowers magic defense and raises your magic attack, you can do it 3x and it stacks with faith. Used thundaja and thats how i got ultima weapon.

When I go to trade online and search for a room, nothing ever shows up. Have yet to see a single room. Has anyone else had this issue? Maybe I'm missing something?

Platinum get.
96 hours and 45 minutes.
Faith, 3 stacks of absorb MAG, level 99 Shiva*, Vampire, and Bablizz. Blizzaja hit for over 32,000 damage.

My Who's Who log is still at 99% though.
I was at 98% before catching the last two mirages. Catching Master Tonberry expanded his log, leaving me still at 98%. Catching Ultima Weapon expanded the logs of Masked Woman, Brandelis, Plumed Knight, Knight in the Golden Mask, and The Girl Who Forgot Her Name, bringing me to 99%.

Edit: 100% log get. There were some missing scenes obtained from talking to Celes and Cid several times each, as well as an entry from a book I missed in the library. 98 hours.

The encounter rate/type for certain enemies is starting to drive me nuts. I just want to catch a few of these stupid mirages, but they never appear in attacks, or appear in attacks rarely and in stacks, but will die if you try to topple.

Tickle ability is clutch. Sylph learns it and something else I forget.

I'm about to
climb the stairs to the crystal tower,
how much game do I have left?
I would say ~2-4 hours not including the postscript? The next two dungeons are really long and repetitive.

I'm missing a chest somewhere. RIP.
Did you get the one in the
Mako Reactor 0 to the left of the entrance into the hallway that leads to the reactor?

EDIT: I'm missing some too :( Is there a list anywhere?

Just completed the mini game trophies last night. The only mini game I liked was the mech one and it took me 12 tries to get that trophy. Only lost twice...

This game has some serious issues with pacing the main campaign. The towns are basically just window-dressing due to not having anything to do in them, so you just go from one dungeon to the next. After few first dungeons, the dungeons start to be easily over an hour long each, turning them into real slogs. Worst offenders to me were
The Dragon Scars, Big Bridge and Crystal Tower. At least Exnine Castle had some interesting imagery to it.

Right now at
the end of Exnine Castle, got defeated by King Bahamut once. Will try again later.

The game is a solid 7/10 title for now. Glad I didn't have to pay full price for it, though.

Any tips for the chests trophy?

Is there any way to reduce/turn off random encounters?

Stealth mirajewel, make sure you are using fast forward during battles, pull up a chapter guide on youtube (there are 2-5 minute long videos showing you where every chest is). Its not as bad as it sounds.

I just beat the game and I just beat the hardest boss (
xenogears mech in the fourth bonus area

It took me 62 hours and I really enjoyed all of it! I'll start a new game on another memory card because I wanna start all over again and not lose out on end game dlc.

I thought sora from kingdom hearts makes an appearance or is that all future dlc?

How can I switch from a small mirage to an improved version? I don't see the option...

L1 and triangle or circle to switch between Jiant and Lilikin. The game tells you how to do this very early on.

Or do you mean transfiguration? Go to the prismarium. Pressing start normally triggers it if you are allowed to.

Future DLC.

almost done with the game.

I just did a bunch of intervention quest (All but the alexander one), Coliseum and caught a bunch of mirages

about to go through the chain road

I think this game was a nice diversion/lead up for Final Fantasy 15

I have 9 days till FF15. I have vacation in 3 days. I can def do this lol

Finished this over the weekend, clocked in at 45 hours. Had a blast. Was a little bit of a slog midway through but the end and postscript more than made up for it.

Yeah my bad, I can only do it in the prism case...

Nothing is missable.

Thanks, well got both anyway.

Kinda want to use Ifrit, but I really like my Ahriman and Reynn is going to ride a Behemoth soon.

Do S Mirages get the stat bonuses from the L Mirages board? No reason to not get them either way, but I'm curious. I know they don't get the spells at least.

Some of the scenes in this game are just too cute, kupo! The
moogle pirates
were adorable kupo! The scene was pretty damn funny as a whole, kupo.

What is the best way to level up
in postscript? I have to win the 4 summon bosses before progressing. Castle exnine seems to be closed off for now, and Chainroad does not really give any good exp.

IIRC there's the secret ice area from the interventions that has high level enemies? Otherwise just find the latest dungeon you can access. Once you beat the postscript you get the optional dungeons on which to truly grind.

Do Bahamut last. He's by far the hardest. If you were able to beat Chapter 21, you're probably strong enough to at least beat the other 3 summons. You can level up pretty quickly by repeating the intervention boss fights too. Once you beat all 4, and talk to Seraphie, you'll go to a new area in Icicle Ridge, which is a great leveling spot until the 60-70 range when you'll be ready for the EX dungeons.

Keep playing

Pretty much. I like the game
but that is just dragging shit.

They could have at least ended it and made another game.

I agree, if the game ended at the first ending, it would've been perfect (storywise). The true ending stuff can be left as the opening of the second game.

Yo (end-game spoilers),
How am I supposed to defeat man with the Golden Mask with Lann? He kills me with Doom way before I can kill him.

The only way I think surviving it is getting last stand ability... which would mean maxing out Tama's board.... which would mean around 10 hours on brainless grinding. There has to be another way, right?

He doesn't always use it. On my first attempt he used it on the first turn, which is pretty much impossible to beat. On the second attempt he didnt use it at all, and on the third attempt he used it a turn or two before he died, and it missed.
