Don't listen to haters, wait for the marketing campaign and reviews before making any assumption. Again, it's their biggest title for this year, they're not going to waste it.

What I expect:

Versus XIII to be renamed Versus. Release date 2014 for both PS3 and PS4. At the same conference I also expect XV to be announced as a late 2015 project for 360 and Ps4 and PC Windows. Afterall at the sony event they told us "we're preparing for a development of a NEW final fantasy, please be excited". Announcing Versus to be XV after this will be trolling us all.

As for the game per se... I love every FF so my expectations are the usuals, I expect a great FF like every other FF.

Would like for this to happen tbqh.

My expectations:

-Release for PS4 (no launch titel / still exclusive)
-Vague release timeframe (early 2014ish)
-New gameplay footage + CG trailer (probably the other way around)

I don't care what they will call it.
Not sure they will rebrand it as FFXV if it stays a Sony exclusive. I think they'll want the next numbered installment to also release on the Xbox One to broaden their target audience.

There's only two ways I could ever dislike a mainline FF. The first is if they turned it into a Elder Scrolls type WRPG with that terrible combat. The second if it became a cover based action game.

I'm fine with it becoming turn based, ATB like XIII or being a hack and slash Ninja Gaiden type thing. As long as the combat has depth and you can still combine magic with regular attacks.

I can spill the following comfortably though since I think this developer is a bit of a joke, and I think people are beginning to suspect this anyway. Versus XIII will have another unveiling later this year regarding development for the next generation. It won't have the "Versus XIII" part in the title. It will definitely release in 2014. You can have my account deleted if this information turns out to be inaccurate. News is fresh on this and I'm really confident about it. FF15 and FF16 are underway, both next generation projects. There's a chance FF15, in particular, may be an exclusive release. Kind of. And with that, I'm off to sleep.
