The biggest thing they'll do for 15 I think is to show how different it is from 13. Expect some fable like talk. "In 13 we know fans didnt like towns being taken out well we made up for that".
I've seen that but I was talking more specifically about what he knows in regard to changes for Versus. Like how has it changed? Does he expect people to like those changes?
Probably changed into a traversal cover based shooter, Noctis has beard now.
I'd certainly be fine with a PS4 only Versus. Although I imagine it may annoy quite a few people who aren't planning on switching consoles right away. Still they'll get Lightning Returns and an MMO.changes as in it has changed platforms from PS3 to PS4
that itself will bring a lot of changes to the ambition of the project XD

Not really; the game has always been more ambitious than FFXIII was.

Why are we assuming it will even show up? Just because that one single vague rumor?

What I expect:
Versus XIII to be renamed Versus. Release date 2014 for both PS3 and PS4. At the same conference I also expect XV to be announced as a late 2015 project for 360 and Ps4 and PC Windows. Afterall at the sony event they told us "we're preparing for a development of a NEW final fantasy, please be excited". Announcing Versus to be XV after this will be trolling us all.
As for the game per se... I love every FF so my expectations are the usuals, I expect a great FF like every other FF.

Expecting it at E3. And expecting GAF to meltdown when they see what it's become. Both quite realistic expectations I think.

At this point I just want the game to come out.
This.
For a game I know little-to-nothing about, frankly I'm sick of hearing about it. I want to buy it, I want to play it, and I want to move on.
Nomura's wet-dream Final Fantasy, be it his fault or upper management's fault, has been a running joke for 6 years now.
Yes, I hope they've renamed it FFXV and reworked the hell out of it. I hope it's the largest, most detailed (both graphics-wise and gameplay-wise) FF ever made.
Square-Enix has been so batshit crazy for pretty much the past decade that I honestly don't know what to expect. My 'realistic' expectations actually cover the entire spectrum: from absolutely nothing changing, the game still having the stupidly confusing Final Fantasy Versus XIII title, still being on PS3, and still releasing sometime in 2014; to the game changing to FFXV, a complete retooling of the gameplay, massive stylistic changes, PS4 exclusive, and also a next-gen FFXVI already in development and only two years away.
Anything can happen at E3 and I legitimately would not be surprised.
The way I see it, S-E is in a position where they can turn things around and reacquire goodwill from their fanbase by producing exciting, quality products in reasonable time-frames, or they can keep their heads in the sand, continue to make foolish, questionable decisions, and keep on the path of fucking up one of the most important franchises in the industry. Either direction is realistic to me right now.
1 minute CG trailer.
Please be excited.
Coming soon. (Within the next 3-5 years)
An on stage demo of Final Fantasy Versus XIII renamed as Final Fantasy XV. Release date announced. New trailer released. PlayStation 4 exclusive. Playable on the show floor.
The flight through the city on that flying thingy in the 2011 trailer looks like a super-awesome setpiece, as do the city portions in general (the fight against the behemoth looks intense, hopefully it's challenging). Other than that, what we saw in the 2011 trailer was 1) somewhat early from a development POV and 2) probably very early in the game in general, so you're not going to see the epicest shit of the game during that point in the game (from a gameplay POV, the game obviously has a somewhat explosive beginning with the invasion & all).Square enix
'nuff said.
I know i'm the only one here but versus never did anything to me, it looks like a sort of crisis core with ffxiii engine to me, i loved crisis core and the graphics of ffxiii was amazing but imo agito/type 0 is way more spectacular(relatively to the platform) and original, maybe the fact that agito/type 0 is a real game while versus is still vaporware counts too lol.
So many people think cross-gen. Not only would it be stupid for a mainline FF and devalue the game, it also implies that they kept working on the ps3 the last two years. When everything indicates they hit roadblocks on that platform and finally said "fuck it, let's move it to next gen".

i really want an amazing live-demo, and for square to redeem themselves and impress everyone with the world exploration and quality of the arpg gameplay.
i think we'll just get a ps4 exclusive and ffxv redbranding confirmation and a new, largely story based, trailer. that will still be great though given its absence.
Wow, I love this. Amazing. Making me even more hyped.
