Rewatching iM@S and it's amazing how much I can appreciate it now that I know a bit more about the iM@S universe (I didn't even really know what iM@S was when I watched it the first time round).

Rewatching iM@S and it's amazing how much I can appreciate it now that I know a bit more about the iM@S universe (I didn't even really know what iM@S was when I watched it the first time round).

There's so much fanservice that is missed by people who weren't fans before the anime like me (and you I'm assuming). It's a lot of fun watching older fans talk about it and revisiting certain scenes after you've had more exposure to the franchise.

But seriously, the moment where the 00 Raiser Beam Saber was fired was so hype! Then it quickly transitions into THAT scene. What should have elicited a fist-pumping cheer from me, instead drew instant disappointment once I realized what it meant.

And what a shitty and stupid way for the awesome man known as Smirnov to go out. Killed by your own son working for a corrupt government. This is the kind of guy who's supposed to go out in a manly sacrifice! Instead he gets a cheap, utterly meaningless death by his own son.

That time lapse is around two years. That might sound crazy, but it actually fits with other things I've heard. Pre-production on any TV series is very time-consuming.

Part 3 is fairly villain of the week for a while. The Stand after next weeks is alright, but the one after that is where I start liking Part 3 more.

First episode, Advol suffocates Jotaro and says if you can't breathe your Stand retracts. And it is only for Hamon, it was just some vague thing to try and link Hamon and Stands.

Part 3 gets significantly better when they reach Egypt IMO

That's the only instance of that showing up ever though, IIRC. Araki probably realized how stupid it was, and decided to link Stands by making it "ghostly ripple" when presented in Kanji
