Maybe a job they release later in the expansion (Like NIN) but I seem to remember them saying Machinist was the last job at expansion release they had to announce. Its also not the first time Red Mage style abilities were shown, several of the Beastmen are Red Mages too, namely the Ixali. They use enspells and a form of haste if I remember correctly.

Pretty much. If that was to be anything, it'd be more of Rune Fencer. Just a strict DPS class.
...though we could use a melee DPS to flesh out a brand new 3.0 Light Party...

FYI, FFXIV for PS3 and PS4 is on sale for the new Playstation Anniversary Sale that's going live now.
But a question. It seems you could buy the PS3 digital version and upgrade to PS4. Does the free 30 days you get per platform client stack? Would you end up getting 60 free days by logging in on PS3 first, then performing the PS4 transfer via Mogstation?

The upgrade to PS4 is free(until march or so iirc?), you don't need to buy the game. I guess if you bought the game instead, you'd get 30days, it's the same for PC when you buy the PC box to get PC access on your account, it adds 30days. I'm not 100% sure though about that.

Ok. Someone in the sale thread said if you do it right, you should get 30 free days twice by buying the PS3 license, then upgrading to PS4.
I may test that just for the heck of it.
You get 30 days per platform license you buy. I got a free month when I added the PC version to my existing PS4 copy.
I don't think I got anything for free when I bought PS4 version in addition to PC. Maybe it doesn't work in this direction then.

GLD already had a Fire (Red Lotus) and light based (Luminous Spire or whatever) attack in 1.0.
We've had en- spells too.
We also had a number of other skills that didn't make much sense and really don't fit BUT FUCK IT ALL ABOARD THE RDM HYPE TRAIN.
Give us back Goring Blade while you're at it :3
That was our other combo DPS skill outside of Rage of Halone now that I remember
Fast > Savage > Halone
Fast > Savage > Goring (required attack from behind)

Actual video footage of the hype train after the next live letter when Yoship comes out, says no RDM ever, and drops the mic.

Depending on secondaries some of the WoD could be pretty strong pieces, tho.

No chance due to raiders complaining, even though they will complain about welfare carbons anyway. It will all be 120 and will have the weekly gear lockout as the last 2 have.
Keep in mind that higher Ilvl =/= better gear. There were upgraded 110 pieces that were better than 120 due to secondary stats and 110 crafted that are on par with some 130 pieces. WoD 120 gear could easily be better than some 130/110 crafted depending on secondaries.

Well, gear / upgrade items will be separate lockouts.
Which I'm fine with personally. Got alts to get Carbontwines for.
And WoD is getting them.
You know, they give tanks a fat bear or lion for being so gracious as to participate in high level duty finder queues, but I think their reward should be that they don't have to sit in DF for hours at a time like I do. Where's my bear? You know what they should do is just make my chocobo's exp tick up for every minute I have to sit in DF since I can't have him out while queuing.
Hence the question marks. We have no precedent.
My guess is that they'll be i115 and occupy the same niche as crafted primal weapons, vanity-only, but I've seen people speculate that they're supposed to sub in for Encrypted Tomestones so who knows (I hope not. SPACESHIPS FOR EVERYONE.)

All WoD weapons will have skill speed and spell speed. That is "and" not "or"
RIP your secondaries.
The music is everything was phenomenal though.
Looked like 5 to me. Ahriman, twin-headed dragon, atomos, Cerberus, and CoD.
DX11 was 3.0ish wasn't it?
Atomos probably won't be a loot dropping boss, just like last time.
I am not a music person enough to appreciate it.
I don't know why you'd spend gil on crafted stuff 10+ weeks into the raid.
