Finished the game today and got all the scrolls. That deepest lore!

And yes, the final boss was very badass. I wish the other bosses had similar back and forths like his one. More single player content in the future would be awesome, especially in the vein of using different weapons like the Amiibo stuff, or even co-op missions as well. Hell, even a level editor would be sick.

Loving the game so far--it's totally unique, and that feeling of something new is really fueling my desire to keep coming back. But there are a few things that kinda bug me:

-only 2 maps every 4 hours? Ummm... yeah, no. As far as Nintendo games go, I like how Mario Kart Wii did course selection: everybody picks a level, and the course is determined by a cycling "spinning wheel" of the selected levels.
-can't change weapons in between matches! Nintendo, you are so dumb /Antoine Dodson. I don't know about everyone else, but I kinda become "attached" to certain rooms (e.g. make rivals out of people who last splatted me... stuff like that). Because of this, I feel compelled to stick w/ a certain weapon longer than I ordinarily would due to the fact that, if I swapped artillery, then I'd be assigned an entirely new squad of squid to join. But even changing weapons can sometimes be a pain, because...
-no custom loadouts! I kinda like to change my tactics depending on the maps available, weapon types, etc.... but in doing this, I've got to scroll through the plethora of clothing options for each type. While it's not much of an issue on its own, when one only has a limited time for battling, I'd rather spend as little time as possible deciding what to wear ;P

So yeah, yay for negativity! Really though, overall I'm just head over heels w/ Splatoon. I really want game to completely take off and become Nintendo's next "big thing." The game delivers so many fun and fresh experiences and is only marred by a few inadequacies--its sequel could go a long way in addressing these relatively simple complaints.

Does it affect squid form though? If it doesn't it's not super amazing or anything.
That would break the game lol
Oh nice. Just ordered some shoes with this ability on them from Spike. Excited to try them out when I get home from work.
Well do keep in mind that's it's not that useful on rollers do to the way they work. I recommend trying it out in Splat Zones since it's most useful in combat. It might be best with Run Speed Up and Ink Saver (main) abilities though.
edit: Ink resistance up means you move kinda normally through enemy ink?
Yep!
-------------------------
I think it's worth remembering that IRU mainly is a combat thing since otherwise you want to paint enemy ink. It gives you more movement options when enemy ink is all over the place from their attempts to splat you. I can see it helping during lag spikes but of course that's not the main reason it's worth using.

Though rollers should probably use something else due to how they work. And even though I think it's the best ability that doesn't mean I think every set should have it. It depends on how often you get trapped by enemy ink and that depends on your weapon and playstyle.

Blessed be the roller who spends the first 30 seconds making sure every inch of your bade gets painted

Arowana Mall is teeerrible with this. Everybody rushes to the middle or a side and leaves the ground squares unpainted, especially the one closer to the base. At least some people have the common sense to shoot towards it as they move forward, but geez.

Has anyone gotten "You do not have Internet Connection" type of message during a match? i have had this happen in the last 6 matches I have played. Last night till now.

Facing sendou is like the part from last of us with the sniper at the house at the end of the neighborhood. Just making it to him is satisfying, much less actually splating him!

Alright, break time after an asskicking like that.

I hate you Sendou, you're always on the wrong team.

GGs all, was fun.

Don't sleep on the .96 gal. It's all about how you use it. I can take aerosprays heads up with it and it's firing rate is perfect for covering a lot in a small amount of time. It's gonna be a killer in Splatzones.

I keep getting killed by blaster or something online. Is that the new popular "killer"?

Rollers are good > Jr kills rollers > Blaster kills Jr?

It is completely hilarious to play this game in a swivel chair with gyro controls on

There have been more than a few occasions today where I've successfully sniped people by swiveling around like a maniac.

... I love this game.

Im trying to figure out the best perks for my roller play and was planning on trying it because of the times I imagine it would've helped me. Why don't you think it fits?

I would hate to see Sendou and Violet0 on one team. I probably just wouldn't leave spawn. Best painted spawn ever.

Sendou, Blue and so on are much better snipers

aaaand I'm also lagging like crazy since I started playing online, heh. I want to know what the game plays like with a normal ping. I'll see if I can do anything about it
