E3 2015 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3

Does anybody know the numbers that watched Treehouse last year? Its benn less than 20k for the whole day which seems kinda low. Hope they bother to do it again next year!

You know, after watching this, I can see why this is a free game. Don't seem enough depth to be an eShop title.

Also people comparing it to Fortune Street is an insult. Fortune Street has strategy.

So its true, Animal Crossing is a Capitalist Simulator, and this game cuts the BS and gets to the point. One roll, one day. Stuff happens in the day, you earn money or you lose money. Rinse and Repeat.

Not feeling this. I think this started as a proper Animal Crossing game but morphed into this when they saw that Wii U wasn't selling. Probably figured they'd better save the franchise for NX.

I'm joking because since Animal Crossing is popular the amiibos will get scalped to oblivion, and finding one for the retail price will be nearly impossible.

Amiibos from popular franchise have generally not been that hard to fine unless they're retailer exclusive. And I'm sure the cards will be much more mass produced. So I doubt this will be the case

If Nintendo decides to actually have a good E3 next year there will be more viewers.

Love new stuff that they have done like Splatoon and their E3 last year....don;t know what they were smoking this year

Happy Home Designer & Amiibo Festival interaction has been confirmed. You can bring in animals through amiibo cards, and if you have constructed a house for them in HHD, that house will be constructed in Amiibo Festival.

There's just so little enthusiasm in general for what Nintnedo brought to the show this year. The low view count on the Treehouse stream is a reflection of that. I'm certain they'll continue with this format as it really works wonders in communicating the ins and outs of their games without being reliant on outside sources or just their one big Direct.

Can anyone tell me why this isnt a mainline Animal Crossing game?

Making an Animal Crossing game had to cross someone's mind over at nintendo during the brainstorming session.

Is there any excuse?

K.K. looks so good, I'm still salty it's a spinoff, I don't have friends and it won't have online so it's really not for me.
Also, no minigames makes it so boring.

I might remember things wrong but 20k seems about the same amount that many of the Treehouse segments last year had.

Does anything happen? Or is the game just roll the dice and hope you get the most happy before the game ends?
Seems like it.
Super Jinsei Game pretty much was the same thing, but the events were pretty outlandish to be funny plus you could have a job. Seems this has less depth than an SNES game.

I think this is a natural progression of the series as AC is very prone to fatigue and the natural choice is to focus on portable iterations heading the series.

Is Happy Home Designer a full priced game?

Yes, it's 39.99, but there's a lot more to it than Amiibo Festival. It's actually a lot more in depth than I originally thought. It's similar to Style Savvy in that respect. You work as a Home Designer that will help animals move into your town by finding them the perfect plot of land, designing their dream house (interior and exterior) and provide expansions when requested. In addition to that, you also create facilities such as schools and hospitals, you also decorate those, and you can assign jobs to your villagers.

A random Nintendo rep saying it was free on the eShop is a not a completely reliable source of info. Nintendo reps have track records of telling people Rayman was in smash...

In Mario Party 10's amiibo party all the actions could also be done by tapping A. That might also be the case here.
Really? I thought most reviews complained about it. Or was it that is had to be the A button on the Gamepad as opposed to the Wii remote?

This Animal Crossing Festival stuff is unbelievable. All you do is tap your AC amiibo and your character moves to a space, and some "event" pops up.

No mini-games, you just earn/lose bells and "happy points".

At least Mario Party 10's Amiibo mode had features and a sense progression.

This game is such a massive tease. All the assests are there for a Animal Crossing Wii U game, the plaza that was around for 2 years... I'm wondering if the creators are stuck with how to innovate the game, or the edict to move to NX has been given.

Okay, so Turnip prices and whatnot give the game a little something to do. Seems like it is an AC experience streamlined and condensed into dice moves. Odd design choice.

The presentation is super-charming, but I mean, what we've seen so far...this is barely a game.
I picke up the phrase, "we're just showing off the boardgame", so I guess there are other modes.

Given they're leading with this mode, I wouldn't hold out much hope.

Who knows what they smoked. I just hope they doesnt take the low viewership the wrong way and stops this.

I just don't get it.

The graphics are serviceable for a mainline animal crossing game. All it needs is online/community features.

WOuld be cool to invite 30 people to your town to have a party/sell trade/etc
