The footage wasn't perfect. Had jaggies and shadow aliasing/dithering everywhere. So I don't agree. We will see when the game launches though.
PC footage may be ass as well

The game has gone gold.
Where's that guy that said the game rarely had drops on his PS4?
Whatever version they demoed Platinum on during the stage show looked worse than the PS4 version (with screen tearing up the wazoo). Considering that they used a generic third party controller, that was probably a PC build.PC footage may be ass as well.
Neither can I apparently, the only frame drop I felt was when casting Meteorain.Confirmed, Ishida can't see the difference between 25-30fps![]()
This makes me happy. If it's true. Pls be true.
Luminous really is a piece of shit huh?
I can play Bloodborne but to me FF XV framerate looked weird in PS4.
Yeh, it is much more noticeable in FFXV and much frequent as well. Still as an early build demo, I am confident it can be fixed.BB performance was not great but FFXV felt notably worse to me.
Yep. You can tell it's a hodge podge of PS3 era assets with some lighting tech slapped on.
PS3 never had 100k polygons per character. Not sure what you are talking about here.Yep. You can tell it's a hodge podge of PS3 era assets with some lighting tech slapped on.

Lets be clear here. Hodge podge or not, those aren't ps3 assets.
The game has gone gold.
Why can't they achieve a stable 30fps? Is the PS4 really that weak that they can't get it to run their vision smoothly.
It makes me wonder what kind of shit show was going on when it was a PS3 game.

Also the game looks really choppy due to the lack of any motion blur during gameplay. What little amount of motion blur the duscae demo had is completely missing here.
A couple of pictures I took:

I think people is overreacting a lot about the AA.... and what annoys the most is the dithering
There is soo much obsesion with the AA thing, this is why we can't have nice things, some concessions have to be made to push the consoles.
(The variable iq is much worse than that, but the demo is a huge improvement over duscae in this area, imo)
The positive points of the game/demo are much much much stronger than its negative points. Even the framerate thing is being overreacted, the game is slowpaced, so it's bareable.
How old is this demo, is my question.
As long as we don't have a behemoth runaway frame implosion I'll be fine. 30 locked should be the minimum but I can dealYeah I noticed that resolution has been improved compared to Duscae.
Frame rate still needs work (but at least on PS4 is not terrible).
Yes? Because they wanted to get it out in time for the Uncovered event. They did the same with Episode Duscae and were pretty clear with it, and then later updated it as well. Why is the age of these demos called into question every time they're released? Do we have reason to believe they're actually releasing demos using builds of the engine from like half a year ago or more?

Silky smooth 20fps. Also, what's up with PS4's frame time? It goes up and down while XB1 stays flat during certain 30fps stretches
『Inaba Resident』;199801462 said:Yes because that's exactly what they did the last time lol.
ED was a really old and unoptimized build that was rushed to be put with Type-0's release
The "game" is done. They are literally spending the next 5-6 months optimizing performance.
The engine produces the best lighting to date, if they manage to add motion blur and even fxaa it would look amazing. This though:

Please fix this shit SE. 99% of the time it looks like the one on the left, if you manage to screencap at the right moment (when all the nasty jaggies clear away) it looks like the one on the right, but only for a split second....
The game is not "done", they even said they haven't finished the combat and the game is totally unbalanced. They might mean they're finished making art assets, and the game is technically completable, but that could mean all of the bosses have 1 hp and you press X to move past them.
Optimizing performance is not the only thing they have left to do, and people expecting them to push out optimizations the game engine's performance after release are being ridiculous.
Were at the point where we can play the game in its entirety from start to finish, Kitade said. From this, everyone on the development team can get an overall view on the game.

Yeah. It's rather common these days to expect a poorly-optimized game at launch that requires time to patch and get performing well. They are in polish polish polish polish mode. Optimizing IQ and performance is polish :|
Also in response to your "and people expecting them to push out optimizations the game engine's performance after release are being ridiculous." comment, there are multiple examples of this happening. Here is one of the most recent:

Why japanese voice acting? I mean, I am using japanese voice acting cuz I am a massive weeb. Are DF also massive weebs?

From those who have played the demo, is the gameplay like Kingdom Hearts?
