Who was the guy in the FH5 threads trying to downplay the total player count as much as possible trying to make it look like nobody is playing the game? Because according to his methodology, if a game has millions of player count but only 75,000 are playing it on Steam at that very minute on their tracker, it means the game is dead and only 75,000 people are going to play the game.

But they are the markets I actually care about.

The reason why I like playground doing fable, is the details. The insane amount of details fable is gonna have, will be amazing.
The downside is the dialogue and the story. I dont want that cringy dialogue like fh5.
With obsidian, bethesda being under the same umbrella might fix that issue. Hope the knock out the park with fable, just like how Guerrilla Games did with hzd, when they transitioned from fps games.

A lot of people love these figures to use in fanboy wars. Ultimately all I care about is how good the game plays and not how much it's sold or how popular it is. However, I do like the fact Playground Games hard work has paid off and it bodes well for future installments so it's good news to me in that respect. Very well done to Microsoft and Playground Games. The perception of Microsoft is really turning positive. We are far away from the Xbox One launch days where I despised the green rats.

Yea you’re not wrong. Dialogue in the FH series has always been bad.
Fable had a fucking weird tone and sense of humor. I have faith that they can pull it off tho.

Sorry but its just another clueless console gamer talking about something they dont understand, in this case Steam. It was actually at 82k earlier today, but thats beside the point. Numbers that high are very good for a AAA game on Steam, especially a racing game.
Its mostly the big BR's and Destiny style games and breakout cheaper games like Vallheim that produce better numbers.
The thing with Steam is that PC gamers are not living 'game by game'. There will be loads of PC gamers who have bought the game and havent even booted it yet. Its the main reason why PC games tend to have much lower starting numbers than on cosnole, but have much longer and more consistent legs. Its always been that way on PC and Steam, the amount of games available to play is simply way higher than on console. Thats why you look at Steams Top 100 most played games and no.100 will often be in the 5000+ range, while on console you would be pushed to even find 100 different games being played at the same time lol.
