I've been wanting to do a replay of ME3 since I haven't touched any DLC, not even the extended ending fix. So I have Omega, Leviathan, and now Citadel to do.
Am I better off using my existing pre-ending save to go these 3 things, or would it be more enjoyable to sprinkle them through a new play-through? Like, will they appear in such a way as to make the main story more enjoyable, or does it not matter?

Um yeah, its a comedy. The whole DLC is pretty obviously meant to be more light-hearted tone than the rest of the series, so don't take it so seriously man.
& frankly if you accepted cloned Krogan, why not human clones? Shepard 2's origin as a spare parts source is actually fairly plausible sounding all things considered.

Wow, I've never been happier playing Mass effect before than with this DLC. Money well spent.
Just finished and while I wouldn't put it higher than LotSB (the actual mission was a bit lacklustre IMO), it was still pretty much exactly what I was hoping for.
To me it was pretty clear Bioware was trying to address the fans' complaints about the ending being too abrupt and a lack of epilogue to show what happened to the characters. The whole thing just had a big epilogue feel to it and it was almost like Bioware was saying "if we had an epilogue, this is what would have happened guys."
It was a satisfying end for me, and IMO this is the true ending of the series.

No, the first part is pretty much a joke. It's not meant to be taken seriously.
I mean, it's entirely playful, and forgettable. It could have been two DLCs, actually.
I'm pretty cynical, and I'll say that this DLC isn't entirely for me. I like the adult side of Mass Effect, and BW has moved on.* It has given way to the melodrama and short-term nostalgia that seems to be prevalent in many (?) of the series' fans. What they provided here was, therefore, a sitcom. While I appreciate some aspects, it doesn't fit with my initial interest in the series, which does have some comedic moments that I appreciate. However, when they extend it like this, it loses its cleverness and blurs the screen with some Vaseline. I like tropes, but lamp-shading, or making them overtly obvious, ruins it for me. (Which is probably why I don't like sitcoms very much.)
To not end on a completely negative note, I did appreciate what they tried to do with the party, even if it is still a little shallow.
*Instead of providing this kind of hokey fan service, I would have liked a very great mission -- something that reminds me of why I fell in love with the series to begin with -- where there's some actual exploration and info on Shep and the comrades, instead of glossing over everything, stringing some lossey goosey plot together, and then going, Party Time!

I guess these games' writers are trying to force the player to have a genuine connection with the game's characters, but it's like they lack some social interaction themselves, so they end up creating these scenarios that, while not disingenuous, end up being really hard to watch. I just can't take the embarrassment. ._.
They actually manage to get one-on-one and serious group interactions well, but when it comes to a "fun" gathering, it tends (though they did okay on the small talk in the party) to fall apart.
A pseudo casino heist, really? It's pretty much a rehash of Kasumi's mission.
The clone seems like an afterthought. It's a very forgettable twist. The real draw is the party.

After playing through what I guess is the biggest part of this I am now 100% confident that Bioware is more than capable to deliver an amazing Mass Effect game - If EA lets them that is.
This was exactly how I wanted this series to end.

We disagree there, I will not be playing any of the ME 3 DLC release's Bioware is not getting anymore money from me.
The Mass Effect series has a lot of things that makes 0 sense in a real world, be it biotic powers, giant killing machines, Shepard coming back to life or the whole ending, and

This really does fit as a post-game DLC imo. On my next playthrough I'll just play everything except this, and once the credits have stopped rolling and we're back in Shepard's boots I'll go through this. Great epilogue, and you don't have to feel guilty about going to town with Miranda while millions of people are being reaperized.

You need to play all three, ongoing story and character events that shape the story.
I think he might be talking about ME3 DLCs(first = Leviathan, second = Omega). If that's the case, no you're not gonna miss anything sandkiller, there is no mention of the events of the Omega DLC in the Citadel DLC.
Might be wrong though, but no one in their right mind would buy the Citadel DLC without having played all 3 ME games!

Didn't play any of the other DLC. Didn't see the point really as it was all plot stuff that would have no effect on the ending but I decided to get this as it was more light hearted and had more of a focus on the characters interacting with each other etc. It's just a fanservice DLC with all the great ME characters interacting. Shame that
is the only one without any sort of mention.

They didn't, the opinion on this DLC is very positive with lots of contents.
I don't know if you liked LOTSB but it's basically LOTSB except with ten times more post DLC content and tons of character interaction and banter.
How well are the DLCs incorporated into ME3?
I had From Ashes from the beginning because I got the Collector's Edition but how well do the others fit in?
Does it feel like you're just playing a separate DLC "level" at the time?
If I remember, From Ashes was pretty much seamless. So much in fact you can tell it was chopped from the main game to sell as DLC.

Im currently going through the main game with all the DLC (waited til not to beat it)
Leviathan kind of feels...essential? The story reveals in it are pretty huge, and as a mission it makes sense for it to take place during the campaign.
Doing Omega basically feels like just taking on a sidequest during the main quest, granted its 3 hours long. They could have done a better job of putting it into context of the main game though, like "we need to deliver a major blow against cerberus, so that's why you're doing this mission" as opposed to it feeling like you're just helping out Aria for the sake of it.
Ill do Citadel before the point of no return.
It really was one of the best battles in the series (at least for Vanguards). I felt like it was truly challenging going up against another

I just love this DLC. I've been done with the story and I'm still playing it. I'm still getting squad requests to hang out, I haven't done the party, and the Arena alone is a full expansion. Freggin' great. I'm trying out guns I never would've otherwise (for single player); hell, I just figured out with that Inferno Ammo coupled with an Inferno Concussion Shot triggers a fire explosion... SWEEEET!! Good-bye, Brutes! Mwahaha. I got some sweet unlocks as well; coupled with gambling this is a credit factory! Now all those upgrades and mods I never bought don't seem out of reach anymore.
Also, way funnier and self-aware than anything they've done before. This is LotSB quality here.
I only wish the Arena was a full 10 waves like the multi. That would've been awesome.

I kept choosing to make the party more crazy and Zaeed
spent it hitting on Samara and hiding in cover by the bar shooting at bottles with Wrex and Javik.
Eh. This makes it hard to resist doing another playthrough of this DLC, just to see the differences. Although nothing can beat Wrex and Grunt saying "Shepard" forever.
If you go to the Load Game screen, you should have the option to restart from the beginning of the party with the Restart Mission option.
