Monster crick in my neck. Anyone got any stupid home remedies? Going to be a long day.

Well, the only thing I can recommend is a method to self-massage it, but it's only temporary relief.

1. Sit in a chair.
2. Lean your butt out so that the nap of your neck is resting on the top rail of the chair.
3. Use your hand to massage the part of your neck that's got the crick.
4. Profit

Will try this as I'm at work, and

Epson salt bath + find a chiropractor who does the graston technique. Fix you up lickety split.

If it stays bad, I'll go this route. Never took bath salts before but I'll try them.

kidding.

Wondering if I should break my fast at 11 since that would be 16 hours or just suck it up and go to noon for 17 hours...I'm not starving which is good tho.

PR on my overhead squat at 240# this morning. I've got a meet in a month. Hoping to snatch 90kg and clean and jerk 105kg. Excited to train hard next couple weeks!

Anyone ever try this?

this will FUCK you up ! if anyone has other videos like this, please share

Yeah I think it was posted in here way back or I found it somewhere else.
Did it a few times. I would get to 10-11 minutes and then nope the fuck outta there lol

I didn't know it was this way and I think my gym doesn't know either, there are 3 all-purpose smith machines and just 1 squat rack, which sucks big time.

3? damnnn

my gym's got two power racks (ie adjustable racks and safety bars), a squat rack and one smith machine.

Yeah. Doctor told me not to worry too much unless it gets bigger or it becomes "incarcerated", which means I can't push it back in. I got super freaked out at first but it hasn't caused me any pain or gotten bigger so I'm gonna keep lifting.

I had a hernia repaired a while ago.

My understanding with doctors I met with said that hernias will never heal on their own and will slowly get larger with time. If I were you I'd just get the operation done (make SURE they use a mesh), take the six weeks to recover (I found after two weeks I could move around normally, and after 3-4 I could do some light exercise and mild stretching to keep the tissues healing right and organized in a solid load-bearing way). If it's larger, it just means a more annoying recovery and a higher chance of it not performing the way you'd like it to later (aches and pains, nerve entrapment, hydrocele forming, etc).

Also, if you get them to do it, try to get them to reinforce the other side too, as if you've got the genetic weakness on one side you have it on the other too and it'll eventually tear. Better to do them both at once if possible since it means less recovery time.

So my GF is transitioning to 5/3/1 BB after having done BBB for a few months. Should I make any changes in to the programming? I mean that should/could I change some exercises to others? For example shrugs to something else? Also perhaps a bit more focus on the butt would be appreciated (at least by me)..

Edit:
How about this:

Squat 5/3/1
Squat 4x12 (instead of the leg press)
Hip Thrust 4x15 (instead of the leg curl)
Barbell Lunge 4x15 (instead of the leg extension)
Hanging Leg Raise 4x12

I've got a ventral hernia (right above my belly button) not an inguinal one which it sounds like you had so at least I don't have to worry about it happening on the other side. A guy I lift with had one repaired with the mesh and apparently that's definitely the way to go. I still need to see a specialist but I've been putting it off because I don't think my insurance will cover that, let alone the surgery.

Deload week seemed like the perfect time to try weighted dips with my tris fresh. Different location has a belt so gave them a to with 25lbs, felt awesome. Drained me more an I thought though, only hitting 4 on my 2nd set.

GAF,

want to do a 90 day workout plan that will get me ready for the summer. I am 5'8" 145lbs and want to get a bit bigger muscle wise for the summer. I want to do a few 90 day programs for my abs, chest, legs, arms and back. Do you guys have any individual programs you'd recommend? Should I do 5 individual 90 day programs or build one program? I will go hard if I need to, I just want to get as big as I can in 90 days.

Starting Strength. 3 times a week. Eat PROPERLY. And stay on it after your 90 days.

(it's in the OP)

Don't do any cardio.

90 days isn't very long for such a thing, but if you're untrained previously and just going for size, the above poster is right: Starting Strength 3x a week, no cardio, and eat a ton. Have to eat big to get big.

At that height and weight, you must have almost no lean muscle mass, so SS is what you need.

I'd do whatever you're supposed to do and be consistent. You're fasting 16, eating 8, right? So 11 would be your time to start eating.

Girl on Instagram who's constantly battling weight loss posts her healthy lunch.

"Natural" lemonade, an apple, two rice cakes and a cucumber sliced in half with a piece of turkey in it.

Yeeeesh

Education is the toughest thing and one of the things people are so goddamn resisting.

I tried to tell a friend of mine that she was wasting her time exercising while fasting. Told her no more juice, she went into shut-off mode and doesn't want to "do a crazy diet, I want my smoothies, they're slow but they work"

bummed me out a lot. I really wanted to help.

I finally got back into a healthy diet and exercise routine 3 weeks ago, and one of my managers just mailed me homemade snickerdoodles. I'm staring at 5 cookies in a Ziploc baggie, and it's torturous. I haven't had cookies since the holidays, and I really, really, really want to devour this entire bag.

HELP ME!

You don't need to eat any of that shit. It's nice of them to send it, but give it out around the office. Let them go. The taste of fitness > the taste of temporary sweet poisons.

Do you want to WASTE those 3 weeks you worked on? No.

I was gonna say something but decided its not worth it.

I really really really wish "eat your fruits and vegetables" was "eat fibrous vegetables and moderate your fruit"

I mean she had 25g of sugar in her juice alone.

meh, gonna end up at around 60g sugar today...stupid banana

No, that's only if I completely eat the food and puke it out.

I should point out that I do eat everything that I purchase.

Lol I know. You somehow came up in a drunken conversation with this chick who "knows everything" called you bulimic. Suffice to say, she's not too bright and doesn't understand the nuances of cutting.

I love when I attempt to help someone and after I'm done explaining what to do they say, well that might work for you but it wouldn't for me. Huh? Like I'm a different species or something. I don't get it.

You should also mention that I've got a BMI of 26. She'll say that means he's overweight.

It's just tough to convince people that they've been lied to by marketing for quite some time. And I understand, I mean, who wants to hear that DELICIOUS apple juice is something they should avoid? Marketing has told them that they can eat as much Chobani fruit yogurt they want, and that it's doing good things.

Bottom line though, the body is an honest machine. It will always give you what you put into it. It's not a conspiracy, and there's a lot of science behind how your body works with what you give it. I just wish people wouldn't be so resistant to it.

Or "that's too extreme"

I got the "I don't want to do some random diet" thing last night. Feels bad man. It's like no...it's not random...it...arghhhh

Well, you're more of a beast.
