When has that ever mattered?

It matters to me, what their attidude is. They just dont have that championship matterial and instinct. Remember kobe in 09 that was a guy who was focusses on one thing and one thing only. Its going to be so hard for me to handle if lakers lose to the heat tomorrow.

There is no reason they should lose but I have a feeling it could go either way.

Yeah its def about who wants it more, imagine if bosh explodes and wade and lebron keep scoring, i can def see them making the finals than. Because all their games against boston were close games and so were the games against the bulls.

Have you paid attention to Mike Miller the past two years? The guy has been over the hill since he was first traded from Memphis. He sucked on the Timberwolves and he sucked on the Wizards. The guy is 30 years old now and he should not be dealing with consistency issues. Rodeo pointed out two seasons ago that the guy was afraid to shoot the basketball -- a shooter afraid to shoot. If you think injuries are holding him back, then I don't know what to tell you.

And Haslem? Yeah, he's a big bench piece for them, but their issues are more than just defensive, especially in the clutch. Hell, even in the 13 games he played, the Heat went 8-5. Right now, you'd kill for an 8-5 stretch.

The team has issues that a healthy Haslem cannot repair. Mike Miller just flat out sucks. Don't hang your hat on him.

I watched Miller during his Grizzlies years and shooting tentatively was ALWAYS something that sucked about him, so thats nothing new. His main problem was that he was billed as the 3rd best guy on that late Griz team and the same deal with the Wolves.

His best contributions come with relative low stress and he should thrive at the 6th man role, thats his comfort zone and where he built his rep ... but he also needs consistency, he needs to do more than just sit there and shoot threes because that puts him in the wrong frame of mind and he collapses under those expectations, if you let him do a little bit of everything and minutes, he does a lot better.

He can still succeed with this team, the Heats big problem is bad, baaaad chemistry.

ESPN's Thorpe redoes the 2010 draft:

1 - Washington, Wall
2 - Philadelphia, Monroe
3 - New Jersey, Favors
4 - Minnesota, Cousins
5 - Sacramento, Patterson
6 - Golden State, BASED ED <---
7 - Detroit, George
8 - Clippers, Fields
9 - Utah, Turner
10 - Pacers, Johnson

Too low imo, why bother with flawed characters like Favours or DMC when you can have this:

Davis looks like he's going to be a double-double guy in this league as a full-time starter, which could happen as early as next season. He is able to finish at a high rate inside and can also be utilized as a pick-and-pop guy -- that is a rare skill combination.

RARE SKILL COMBINATION.

Cousins in Minnesota does feel right though.

I still don't think we'd take Even Turner.

Oh, he still remembers. He brings it up constantly to justify how confident he is in the team.

Kemba Walker Could See Himself With Knicks

RealGM said:
Connecticut guard Kemba Walker would love to team up with Carmelo Anthony and play for his hometown team.

"It's special, a special place to play," he said. "Everybody dreams of playing in this place, the bright lights, everybody watching. It's just a special place."

Walker, who’s on pace to graduate this summer, has long followed the career of Carmelo Anthony.

"Carmelo Anthony has been my favorite player so wherever he goes, I go," Walker said when asking who he roots for. "I think about that all the time. I would love to not only play with him but play for this organization, just because I'm from here. But whatever happens, happens. I can't control stuff like that."

The Houston Rockets can swap first round picks with the Knicks in the 2011 draft so long as New York's 1st round pick is not the 1st overall selection.

Mo Williams Part 2 in the making.

I know he probably didn't mean it literally.

DMC wouldn't start over darko though!

No, but he could help chip in to crush what's left of Kevin Love's will to live. I don't think the current roster is all the way there yet, Kahn still has work to do.

On a per 36 minutes basis, Jones averaged nearly 15 points on 54.8% shooting and 7.5 rebounds for Baylor.

... THAT'S a 2nd pick?

He's not projected to go 2nd anywhere other than ESPN. His defense was abysmal as well and he's blamed his teammates and coaches for all his basketball failings. He also played terrible in high school as well. It's hype just because he fast, 7'0, and can sort of dribble.

Interested to see where Quincy Miller goes now since Baylor will probably be destroyed for paying Miller and Jones.

Jonas Valanciunas putting up 20-14 in Euroleague per 40 minutes on 70% shooting and 90% from the line! 7'7 wingspan, 18 years old, incredible work ethic! Too bad the Wiz will almost certainly pick Perry Jones since he's got the upside they're addicted too.

Why would you stock up on picks this year? Not a good year+ kids are scared of a lockout and not getting paid= terrible draft. Its why teams were throwing them away at the deadline.

That's a great question. I would pose it to one of the excellent people in our front office, like Ernie Grunfeld, but I have this funny feeling that they won't be here long anyway.
