A new ownership group with money (and actually knows what it's doing) could be good for the team's performance though. Maloofs were/are obviously broke as fuck and had the kings on the lowest payroll in the league for years.

I feel like if you own an NBA team it kind of trivializes actual brokeness to say you're broke as fuck.
