Well, not really a walkthrough. More like a listing with a small amount of detail for each of what's available in the game since there's a ton of new stuff in this one. Looking at the official website though, it seems Nintendo has actually mentioned most of the stuff you unlock later in the game already.

From how I understand it, when you do the system transfer, it will merge the eShop accounts of both systems. So the New Leaf license from the XL bundle will still be on there, but you will have to redownload it.

Badges are effectively this game's version of achievements. As far as I know, you display them on the back of your profile card for other people to see, similar to how Pokemon does it.

Trying to decide if I should bus an hour or two to my nearest Best Buy and see if they'll take preorders at the store. I want the AC 3DS XL but I'm not going to wait 2-4 hours on a bus there and back if there's a good change they'll just tell me it's online only.

Does anyone in Canada know if BB is taking preorders in stores or just online? I heard online only from a friend, but their site doesn't say whether or not it will be.

Most of them are from the lotto tickets that you buy with play coins. If you look around online, there's a full list of them from the JP version.

Couldn't tell you for sure but I'd guess that some languages have more or less text in the game than others. Maybe someone else could clarify.

To my knowlege, no. Once you pick your name you're stuck with it unless you start a new file.
