""You. Are a Templar.
HOLY SHIT.
Me too only I really wish I didn't. Uggggghhhhhh. This post screamed of massive spoilage and yet I highlighted. Yeah, I probably shouldn't have did that, but that's awesome.
Uh I'm in like the first mission inBoston and I have to shoot a barrel. How do I do this? All it says is 'press LT to aim.' Nothing about how to shoot.
I was carrying a musket which i was shooting with Y, but the game made me drop it.
I'm not sure if anyone has asked. I've only played the first one but i never finished it and kinda got bored with it. I'm thinking about getting this. I plan on playing the other games at some point but i kinda want to play this one now? Am i going to screw things up if I do this?

Please tell me that's an early game spoiler that doesn't play into the main story too much.
I'm really upset that I highlighted that.
Oh I see,Haha, I remember getting stuck on that.
The reticle has to be specifically on a barrel, and then hold Y. If you don't the game does nothing. Stupid I know.

Assassins Creed III is one of those rare games conceived to be revolutionary from the beginning. Games like this only come around once in a generation. One of the most, if not the most, ambitious titles ever created. An inspiring testament to what can be accomplished with unbridled devotion, its possible that nothing of this magnitude will ever be attempted again. Its a truly definitive event that will be looked-back as a crucial step in gaming evolution.
Nope, not at all. Sometimes I don't pay attention to what thread I'm reading and I just start highlighting stuff like a fool. Never again!Read like a joke post to me. Fuck this world!
Damn it all this hype, you guys are gonna make me go out and buy this baby.
Anyone willing to sway me towards 360 or PS3? I'm en route to the games store now.

Sounds like the general opinion is that 2 and Brotherhood were better games. Plus, they're both cheap, and you'll definitely be lost on the Desmond part of the story if you jump straight into 3.
Get them, and then by the time you're done, 3 will be like half-price.
So I'm escortingLee and Hickey in like the first mission and they're hiding behind a wagon. Battle music is playing and there are no enemies and I can't leave them and they're not moving.
WTF
Any hints to get the games awful scripting to move along? Since apparently I can't do anything else.
This ship sequence has to be one of the most boring missions in video game history. Christ.
Say what??? I think if anything can be said, most reviews proclaim the ship sequences.
...there is more?
I think someone got carried away:
That's what I ended up having to do. Way to go Ubisoft, scripting bug in mission 1. Can't wait to see how the rest of the game goes.Reload the checkpoint? This didn't happen to me.

I'm convinced after reading the reviews that the smart thing to do is:
Rent Disc 1 Single Player
Buy Disc 2 Multiplayer
Yeah. Right now I'm pretty happy I chose the Redbox option.
This game is as ambitious as it is unpolished, jesus christ.
Multiplayer discs are starting to pop up on eBay.
Asscreed is something else entirely, OJD!This could be said for every single Asscreed game.
"You. Are a"Templar.
HOLY SHIT.
e:
apologies, this is only a little into the story.
