Iron Man 3 really is the bottom of the pit. No way AOU is worse than that and I'm really dissaponted with AOU.

What exactly were people expecting that they think IM3 is shit? Sometimes with GAF, I feel like I watched a completely different movie than some people.

ending ruined what was an otherwise great Iron Man movie for me. Felt so cheated it really soured me to the whole experience. On repeated views I can enjoy the rest of it, in spite of that.

Iron Man 3 is amazing. The funniest Marvel movie by far, and some fantastic action scenes too.

It's certainly the most divisive Marvel movie.
I actually really didn't like it when it first came out, but watching again recently, there is a lot of good about it. The action is quite exceptional, and I don't know if I'd call it the funniest, but it's up there. I still think the story itself is pretty much a missed opportunity though.

No, that was just Whedon's first cut that was over 3 hours long, as is common with these kinds of films before they're edited down to a more reasonable running time. It has been alluded to through Amazon that there could be an extended version hitting Blu-Ray (Amazon have since denied this).

The director's cut, as in Joss Whedon the director's cut of the film, is the one in theaters. One rough cut he made of the film months ago was 3 hours.
