So... what. Should I hold off playing it for now? or are these optimization issues ATI only, or can I just be happy with medium settings at 1080p60 and be off with it?
I wouldn't mess around with it. Reading on reddit that this can cause the game to delete and start to reinstall itself. So the FPS cap edit is working fine but when I try to remove the motion blur or edit anything else the game crashes before it makes it to the main menu. Is anyone actually able to disable motion blur or is this just me?
No big deal. I'm hopeful that they'll patch it soon enough and all these issues and complaining will be a thing of the past. So yeah, refund if you really want and just buy it again after they patch it.Just did the unthinkable, I've asked for my refund on Steam. Considering how much I was anticipating this game, it's quite sad that I won't be playing it now. If I wasn't so against giving them more money I'd probably buy the PS4 version as a quick fix.
It's not only the performance issues that are bugging me, but the graphics themselves.
Maxed out at 1440P on my Titan X, it doesn't look as good as the E3 demos they've been showing off the past few years.
Maybe I am remembering wrong, but those demos blew me away, whereas playing it myself, it doesn't actually seem like that much of an improvement from Arkham City.
Anyone feel this way or am I crazy?
Nope. Can't turn off the film grain they have on as well. This game has the weakest graphics menu I've seen in a VERY long time. Can chromatic aberration be disabled?
There should be a way but the only thing I'm able to disable is the fps cap. Whenever I edit anything else my game crashes before the main menu. Can chromatic aberration be disabled?

Is anyone getting a audible buzzing noise in the background while playing?
The post with screens just a few up seems more like texturing streaming issues than anything else. It's definitely an ugly game, the DX11 effects look nice but they're slapped on a base of low-res textures and blurry filters. It looks like a mess, no definition.
Honestly, I probably will. At least this way I get to send some sort of message, however redundant it may turn out to be.No big deal. Man, this is probably the last time I pre-order a game, especially on PC.
Performance isn't horrible, but it's definitely not great. As soon as you get into the Batmobile, it drops to 30FPS or less. I'm not raging, as I imagine it's performing on par with the console versions, but I got it on PC under the assumption it'd be the best way to play it. With the exception of Shadow of Mordor, WB PC games have been a mess lately.

Them textures though.
I haven't noticed a buzzing, but my experience with the Batmobile is the same. The game is just unplayable once I get in that damn car.

I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, but I can't even play the game because the game file is utterly corrupted every time I download it. Upon starting it up, the intro scenes flicker and play at an abysmally low frame rate, giving me no choice but to force quit (which takes a while given the lag). When I verify game cache, it literally revalidates the ENTIRE GAME and has to install it all over again. Rinse and repeat.
Anyone else getting this?
Them textures though.
I can confirm this. Happened to me. Really BS though. Just be careful guys.I wouldn't mess around with it. Reading on reddit that this can cause the game to delete and start to reinstall itself.

I'll tell you what guys, this game's definitely a looker.
Can a 970 even run this game at 30fps locked at 1080p with all settings maxed?
What's your system RAM usage?Disabling all the Gameworks crap delayed the crashing, but it still happened eventually. This time, it just locked up my entire PC. It doesn't play nicely with the Steam interface or the MSI Afterburner interface (unless I disable Gameworks stuff).
Sucking up roughly 4700 MBs of VRAM on my 980 Ti and I'm getting a lot of FPS drops despite low GPU and individual CPU core usage.
I'll tell you what guys, this game's definitely a looker.
That confirms my suspicion; something is wrong with the textures.

My story with Batman AK:
-pre-ordered from Nuveem
-heard about 40 season pass
-heard about Red Hood GS exclusive DLC
-deleted my preorder
And now I'm even happier with this.
They're clearly not meant to be the real textures. They are pre-pop in textures, something is causing random shit to not pop in. I had it on commission gordon for a scene once.

Battlefront is DICE. DICE ain't fuckin' up no PC version.I don't know why I expected there would be no WB fuckery when it came to this port. I've done ok with my i5 3570k/ GTX 970 combo (if by ok you mean no crashes to the desktop), but the game does look kinda muddy. The 30 FPS and grain filter kills it.
Shit, what the hell is going on? This isn't the only game that's pulled this malarkey. There's no way the PS4 versions of these games should be better. But they are.
Fuck it, I'm buying Star Wars: Battlefront on the PS4. Same shit is probably going to happen with that one too.
