Anyone getting this?
Ahh, ok, my bad. Yeah, well they're right.
I can also see why some people would say the PC still looks better, given the effects and the better frame rate, especially on smooth segements of the video.
When you're actually playing and it stutters though, the smoke effects don't matter.
Missing AO and the rain effect on the Batmobile can be seen on the consoles but not the PC. Seriously how the hell do you fuck up this badly?
A quick and dirty low res mobile video I took a minute ago showing how bad the stuttering is for me, all options on default at 1080p with nothing else running in the background. This is just after the intro.
14 seconds in is where it gets really bad. http://youtu.be/ybW6iTHzmuw
I know there's shit loads of complaints but is it this bad for most people?
I5 3570k

7970ghz
win 7

I think all the patch did was fix file validation. It's actually validating files now instead of instant deleting the game.
Cheers, will try that tomorrow. I'll take playable over playing while defragmenting my hard drive mode.Get new AMD drivers, I had the same issue on R9 280 (i.e. 7950) but now the game is actually quite playable (sigh).
Guess I'm SOL on a refund since I bought my steam version via Green Man Gaming hey guys?
Still a great game if you have a high end PC. Sounds like with memory leak you want more than 8GB RAM though, several people with 32GB like myself are having things smoother (not flawless but not bad)
Very sad state of affairs for people with a 970 not even getting PS4 performance.

Pretty massive things to be missing tbh. THe game is constantly raining and AO has basically become the bread and butter of shading in engines these days.

It's not that crazy. You can get 32gb for $200 these days.32gb of RAM is not "high end", its "crazy person / I render vídeo for a Living"-end
Ooops wrong link
Is same for the retail box

I've got 32GB of RAM and the game is an absolute stuttering mess on my 970. Dipping down to 20-27fps constantly when driving the batmobile.

according to a reddit post the game was ported to PC by only 12 people! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eh. It's not an enjoyable experience. Constant stutters.I'm sure you can play this game maxed out on 980 ti 1080p@30+ fps

I think this is an OC related crash. I had it once and I could't even play other games afterward. Downclocking the OC and restarting fixed it and I haven't seen it since.
Hmm, I feel like performance is taking a hit as the game goes on, as the story has more things happening in areas. First 10 percent of the game, performance seemed okay at 1440p in the open world areas. Now it's getting hit pretty hard.
Messing around with settings it seems like Enhanced Rain isn't a big hit, but light shafts are. Paper and Smoke are too but harder to test since you have to restart everytime.

There's an instant crash when someone tries to view my Steam broadcast, every time
I'm not ovrerclocked at all. Stock 970 and 4790k clocks
my point is that you shouldnt expect any sort of game to require anything close to that
theres absolutely no reason for 32gb of RAM on a PC unless you do some serious work on it
If you get it let me know. That's just an automated email.I asked GMG about a refund and they sent me this so maybe there's a chance?

They're probably playing the ps4 version.Nvidia is currently streaming Stutter knight on twitch. Don't see any stutter

As a software developer who runs multiple IDE's, databases and app servers I wouldnt buy a maachine with less going forward. Makes a huge difference (at the time I thought 32GB might be overdoing it)
For games, its not required - but it is nice that I can play a game without having to close all the background stuff I run (eg open IDE, servers running like MySQL/Tomcat etc)
They're probably playing the pa4 version.
Wow they've only had 8 weeks to port the game? That's ridiculous.
They're probably playing the pa4 version.
This is why I was saying its ultimately the publishers fault since they are the ones who are supposed to make sure development is smooth, QA is looking good etc.
In any project, budget has the most impact (both in time and money though they are closely related).
Publishers weights up the cost/benefit and probably didnt care so much about the PC versus the consoles - since they had already sent out PS4 reviews to all the review sites.
