This is how I picture the Snyder-WB relationship.
Warner should try to steal one of the Marvel movie directors. Whedon is available they should make a run at him.
Damn SalsaShark you ain't holding no punches. You were waiting for this day huh
Affleck is good as Batman. I'd say the movie is about 60/40 his way.

Call me daft, but I really didn't see this coming.
With this being in the oven for so long, I had hoped WB would have kept a closer eye on it, especially considering how important a release it is for them.
With GL, MOS, and now potentially this, that's three strikes on WB. Do you guys really expect them to bounce back by the hands of David Ayer?

heh i thought the first half of the movie was better than the second.

I think I'll watch it, as I intended to, and not allow critics to think for me or sway my mind in any way. You guys coming out with your pitchforks should see the film for yourselves before claiming that the film is crap. The film may very well be terrible or you just may enjoy it but you owe it to yourself to see it before judging it. Also some critics seem to condemning it simply because it doesn't fit the mold of a Marvel movie by not being needlessly funny. It seems more admirable that the movie attempted to be its own thing rather than attempting to replicate Marvel's formula and I think the subject matter should be taken seriously. DC typically has a darker tone than Marvel works so it's refreshing to see that making its way into the film.

Instead of getting beat up by BatmanBatman and Robin was essentially Whedon Batman, but I'm curious to see how he would tackle Superman.
He's always like this.
The bar for superhero movies has raised numerous times since DD came out. You can't direct compare the two like that, not only because the reviews have not finished coming out yet, but because it's an aggregate of how critics felt at the time, not how they would compare them now.
I can't be worse than Man of Steel now can it.
The Greatest Batman returns next year.
Im still watching this.
I still will likely love it.
But dammit, the fact that this is ranking a so much worse than Zootopia it's incredibly funny and i want it to stay that way.
Nah, don't do that. They botched the fuck out of that adaptation.
Sure was a lot of comedy in those Nolan Batman films. must be why critics hated them.
Oh wait...
Honestly. Everything these reviews are saying was heavily hinted at in the trailers and marketing. There was always a possibility it ended up better than that, but how can you be totally surprised at these reactions?

GOAT post. Some of y'all are just out for blood, see the movie with your own eyes and get off the confirmation bias. It's not perfect but at least the movie brings something different to the table.I think I'll watch it, as I intended to, and not allow critics to think for me or sway my mind in any way. Still taking my son to see this train wreck on Thursday night... can't wait!![]()
Yeah he did the same with Watchmen. I love that movie and will keep defending it. It gave me hope Synder could do a good superhero movie, but after hating MoS and now this. Fool me twice I guess.Dude's good at adapting page-by-page exact scenes from existing work.
300 worked because Frank Miller drew such evocative scenes:

Ask Snyder to do something original, and he flounders.
Looks like it went back down to 40%
We live in Bizarro world.Early reviews are usually more glowing than later ones aren't they?
Man how could DC let this happen, this was too important to fuck up.
They really do need a Feige figure there to right and steer the ship
