ughhhhhhh...37%, 10 fresh, 17 rotten and 5.3/10 rating :(

Hopefully it can get to 50-60% after 100+ reviews :/

This is really sad. I've thought the trailers were terrible but I never hope to be right. Especially for such a big film in which I sort of feel forced to see out of obligation. I know that sounds stupid to say, but we're all going to see this rotten thing anyway aren't we?

No?

I mean, I'll check it out on Netflix or something down the line... but the DC fan in me doesn't feel up to watching another shitty adaptation of great material.

I'll follow the reception closely (particularly what fans are saying), and I'll give the film the benefit of the doubt if some of the venom evaporates. Then again, if it really is "that bad", then no - I'm going to go ahead and reject the narrative that says consumers who choose to give a shit about quality also lack self-control when something is clearly less than good.

Is them canning Snyder for the next film an actual possibility?

April 11th is when they start shooting JL, so there is still time I guess. But they need a replacement. Nolan's dick aint gonna suck itself, so worth a shot. Or maybe George Miller.

This is going to resemble Man of Steel's rating that sits around 50%. But ultimately, nobody refers back to the RT rating when discussing that film. Eventually, people here will see this film and then perhaps we can discuss the meat and bones of it, particularly the writing and pace.

Until then, this is just a silly game of "lols".

Well then you haven't been part of many of the MoS discussions lol

From the Telegraph review:

But if Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer’s script hobbles Eisenberg, it judo-sweeps the feet out from under every woman in sight. Both Adams’ Lois Lane and Diane Lane’s Martha Kent are serial victims, Holly Hunter’s potentially sparky role as a senator prepared to stand up to Luthor never coheres, and until the big finish, Gadot isn't called on to do much but slink.

It’s a Men’s Rights loon’s dream of meathead orthodoxy, and leaves you wondering if Mad Max: Fury Road and Star Wars: The Force Awakens actually happened.

They need the Anti-Monitor to show up in the first scene of Justice League and wipe out this universe and start from scratch.

Fuck
God damn it
Even MoS didn't stray under the 50%. I knew this wasn't gonna be Marvel Quality but still, Batman and Superman on the big screen for the first time.

Bravo Snyder.

Saw this coming since the first trailers, but really was hoping I was wrong.

Hopefully Suicide Squad is awesome.

Also look forward to some standalone Bats in the near future.

In a dark hallway somewhere in the Warner Brother's offices there's a secret packed being formed to make David Ayer the head of the DCU.

From Grace's review. It feels like some critics didn't know that superhero stories could take themselves seriously, in the context of supernatural mythology.
It's almost as if they're not as familiar with the range of comicbook stories.

I'm super interested in this now. Looking forward to it more than I was today!

Maybe the superhero cinematic universe don't need someone like Batman anymore....the grim dark days are over.

Bring on Harley Quinn, Plastic Man, Flash, Booster Gold etc....

Some of these reviews read like they're just begging to be spread around on twitter for the 'lols' or the 'oh shit this reviewer went in' type deal. It's kinda fucked up how so many people seem to have it out for this movie. I mean, yeesh. It's ridiculous.
