Didn't see JC, but Prometheus (which I liked too) is way better than BvS.
Prometheus was 73% fresh.

So if this movie ends up pulling a domestic total that's closer to Man of Steel than it is Dark Knight Rises? I absolutely think Warner Bros would consider putting a halt to whatever they had planned and trying something different. I don't know that they'd do it, but I gotta think it's an option on the table.
*sigh* He literally says he's Iron Man at the end of that movie. Why does everyone assume he quit?
Speaking of Superman Returns, even with its mostly positive reviews (if not outstanding) and its 200 million domestic reciepts (only 6 million less than Batman Begins) Warners considered such a result to be unfavorable enough they decided to move down the path that led to Man of Steel getting made.

Watching this Saturday. I love John Carter and Prometheus.

I just couldn't see anything so drastic being done. They're already too invested in the universe they've created. Could we see director changes or something? That's definitely possible, but there's no way they're pulling out of this huge plan that's in motion at this point.
Hell no.If I liked Superman returns will I like this movie?
tbh I think all superhero movies are garbage anyways so I'm sure this one's no worse than the others.
Superman Returns makes Ang Lee's Hulk look as exciting as Mad Max.

Does Hollywood even care about Domestic gross anymore?
Man, Iron Man 3 had some weird-ass issues where so much things just didn't make sense. It had a lot of cool moments but then there's shit like.ono pepper pottz died welp time to settle the final fight sup mk 42, time to be lovably clumsy again
It was stupid and tone-deaf, but I still like the movie because I love MCU Iron Man. Just a damn shame how quality kept rolling down with each installment.
Abso-fucking-lutely. They get more money here, and its still more often than not the single largest market. A larger bite of the biggest slice of pie is really important to them, and will be for awhile to come.
Making 200 mil in China is not the same as making 200 mil stateside. It looks pretty for the horserace, but while more money is better than less, we're not in the position yet where studios are able to shrug their shoulders at weak domestic simply because the international is picking up more slack.
what?
Iron Man 3 was an entertaining film to watch. I can't say the same for BvS.

The Angry Joe rant is going to be something to behold...this move may legit kill him, dying of a broken heart.

Geoff Keighley wasnt a fan
Nolan....pls
he gave us TDK Trilogy. He has nothing left to give us.
BvS shits on IM3 from great heights.
They're the two biggest comic book/superhero characters of all time, it makes sense.
I thought it a little incongruous that a man so well known for long, blustering, profane, overheated youtube venting sessions ties so much of his identity up in Superman's iconography, actually.
Like, how can you like Clark that much and apparently not internalize any of the man's positive aspects?
He needs to bless us againhe gave us TDK Trilogy. He has nothing left to give us.
