May this person gag on the force of Ubisoft's towers, loot crates, microtransactions and copy paste game worlds for the rest of his days.
Damn you seem to feel pretty strongly about a game you haven’t played yet, based on only the information they related in thier reviews.

Does the fact that structures can be built by players and make the game easier (mentioned in the Kotakua review) not mean that in a few months the game will be really easy?

I don’t mind negative reviews but ones like those are too much don’t you think?

I honestly don’t find it that negative, and the one posted just up above seems much more negative. (Post 65) since iOS 13 wont let me quote for some reason.

If they don’t enjoy the gameplay why are they going to suffer through it to get to the next story point? and if they all are playing on easy how annoying is it going to be for the average player who starts on normal?

Should reviewers stop posting thier actual feelings about a game because someone might be offended by them?

The more I hear about the Chiral Network the more I feel like it's truly the heart of the game. Especially in tandem with the themes of isolation and the challenge that comes with traversal. It seems to evoke a sense of shared sentimentality and connection between players like no other game out there currently, and that's rather fascinating. I think that speaks volumes to what games can uniquely achieve and speaks to our human experiences.

Come on folks, please don't shit up the thread with pointless childish system wars bullshit....

The day I trust game reviewers will be the day I enter a lunatic asylum. "Something something" Red Dead 2 getting 10's everywhere when the core (pun intended) gameplay is a complete irredeemable pile of steaming clunky shit. End of. These idiots have a herd like mentality & go with the least controversial opinion so they don't ruffle anyone's feathers (namely game studios).

Let's see how this one plays out & how the real audience that matters (aka the paying customer) reacts to this "game" when weeks & months go by & dilute the hype, i.e. leaving nothing but the actual product to judge. jeuxvideo.com just gave this thing a 19/20 & I don't trust them either. I'll surmise my distrust of game reviewers like this: far too many focus on words like "experience" & "feelings" & "emotion" when judging the merits of a video game, i.e. elements heavily influenced by the environment they test it in & the frame of mind of a reviewer (basically like watching a movie with friends whilst having a fun night out = "best movie ever"). All when the average dude sitting by himself playing on his ps4 expecting a tight, well balanced game with good mechanics etc. is left scratching his head thinking "wtf am I missing here?".

Woah there dude.

You think the average player cares about a tight, well balanced game with good mechanics?

Most of these fuckers play FIFA 90% of the time.

A lot of reviewers are people who play games too. Some people happen to like certain games and others don't.

I personally didn't enjoy RDR2 (I don't enjoy western settings in TV/Film either) but I'm not going to say those who like it are wrong. You do you.

Personally I like to play games that I like the look of and think might be interesting for whatever reason. I won't ever let other people decide that for me. As an example I haven't played Spiderman yet because it looks as cookie cutter as they come. I already have a swath of unfinished design by committee open world games I can go and play without needing to spend more money.

I agree, I very rarely agree with reviewers, but I think the sales of this game are going to be even less then reviewers expect.

It’s going deep on sale for Black Friday.

The only other (big game) I can see it performing close to is Control.

Seems like a "you get out what you put in" type of game, and those are generally very divisive. Sounds like the game goes out of its own way to be slow, repetitive, and lack flashy set pieces, which is the opposite of what people would expect from such a hyped-up AAA game.

I'm down for it, to be honest. I enjoy fast, flashy games that serve up instant gratification by the truck load as much as anyone else, but I can appreciate an experience that slows things down too, so long as the world itself is detailed and interesting enough to draw me in.

I wonder....

Everyone said Sony revised thier forecast down because TLOU missed year end, but part of me wonders if they realized this game wasn’t going to sell consoles and lowered xmas expectations.

TLOU wasn’t going to sell the amount of consoles they lowered expectations by.

you forgot Gears 5...wait, everyone forgot.
I don’t think I’ve ever said anything about Gears 5, but way to bring that in, off topic somehow.

Tell me again how it relates to Death Stranding?

The reviews so far match my excpectations. Story and setting are interesting if you like Kojima's style, gameplay seems to be the weak link.

In general, I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to be able to trust game reviews, not that I ever let them decide for me anyway. I’ve seen so many movie and tv show reviews the past couple years driven by sociopolitical agendas, I just trust publications less and less anymore.

I have a few youtubers who I trust more than anyone and even though I’ll disagree with them often, I know they’re never gonna push any kind of agenda, they’ll tell it like they see it and that’s all I want in a reviewer. Reviewers who don’t care if they’re the only person in the world who dislikes a game if they mean it and can back it up with examples.

Nobody cares what you think here everyone already knows youre an xbox astroturfer

Your opinion regarding death stranding or the last of us II are meaningless and doesnt have any weight or significance at all since we already knew you always have ulterior motives against playstation game in general

What right do we filthy gaijin have to judge a pure Japanese work of high octane "let er' rip" art? I'm not qualified to pass judgement on top tier Nippongo Bongo. Instead I'll acknowledge my fate as an inferior form of human. I couldn't breathe the same air as someone like Kojima.
