:-/ yeah this is about the opposite of how I feel. It feels really shitty to tell people to leave a fireteam. If you just join a party without having said anything in advance the odds are not zero that the spot was being held, the exact content/part you are looking to do isn't what the party you're joining is doing, or it's otherwise an intrusion... just send a message about what you wanna do, it always works. then there's no awkwardness if it's full or otherwise a no.
Not that I randomly join people if I don't know them but, messaging with PSN a is extremely inefficient and waste of time IMO. There has been like one instance in recent memory that a message hasn't arrived ten minutes after I sent it/got the notification. A massive pain in the arse.
However I do concur it feels really douchy to kick someone out of your fireteam, but at this moment we don't really have much of a choice. To be honest this reflects more poorly on sony than Bungie if anything. I just hope the new update will fix this
