I'd love to see that.

Series 6 soundtrack samples are up on iTunes and Amazon. Sounds like it has all the cues I was hoping for - can't wait for the release!

I really like that the soundracks we've gotten from the specials onwards have been multi-disc ones. It's really come a long way from having series 1 and 2 condensed into one disc.

Odd that they'd do this, Confidential's showed several times that the TARDIS gets assembled on location. Still, it's amusing to see.

It's not an official TARDIS. The phone's just a dummy, and the windows are the wrong size.

...and the font's wrong on the top bit.

Which Eccleston ones did you get "burned" on? He's only got 13 and none of them strike me as being dull or bad :p
"Rose" and "Dalek" and were the first two Who episodes I had ever seen and I just didn't enjoy them at all. I left with the feeling that Who probably just isn't for me. My brother then suggested that try watching "Blink" and I absolutely loved it. I've now gone on to watch a few more of the early Moffat episodes and I've loved them all.

This brings us back to the post you quoted- I now know that I probably don't want to watch every episode, but I'm looking for more episodes than simply the very few best.

If you're looking for a list of the lowlights, so you know what to avoid, I'm sure one could probably be cobbled together.

I would avoid:
S1
Aliens of London
World War Three
The Long Game
Boom Town
Bad Wolf (shitty part 1 to a 2-parter)

S2
Tooth and Claw
The Idiot's Lantern
Love and Monsters
Fear Her

S3
The Shakespeare Code
Daleks in Manhattan
Evolution of the Daleks
The Lazarus Experiment

S4
Voyage of the Damned
Partners in Crime
The Unicorn and the Wasp

That covers Eccleston and Tennant. Could probably add another one here and there. Of course, taste is subjective - YMMV. I didn't list any of the finales, which are somewhat enjoyable, but get more and more ridiculous each season.

If Rose weren't the intro story it'd belong on that list. It's really pretty bad other than the opening segment. Especially because Mickey is at his absolute worst.

edit: I guess the other good bit of Rose is where the Doctor describes how he perceives the universe in terms of feeling the earth turning. I always loved that bit.

Tooth & Claw is a great episode, plus it sets up
Torchwood.
Love & Monsters is divisive, but I liked it.
Shakespeare Code & Unicorn and the Wasp are good too.

I think bad Doctor Who is still pretty watchable, but if you have to make cuts, you have to start somewhere.

Love and Monsters is the only episode of Who that I regret watching. It ranks up there with my least favorite episodes of television I've ever watched.

So are those adventure games actually not garbage? Because they look terrible.

I played the first episode and never even had the thought of maybe considering checking out the other ones, because it was even more terrible than it looks. My love for Doctor Who is deep and my tolerance for old and bad games is even deeper, but I had to force myself through the first episode.

The funniest part is that reading through what I wrote here I feel like I'm being too nice to the game.

How dare you. These are KuwabaraTheMan's favorite Who episodes.

Each season has some bad episodes, but just watch them all. There's very few episodes that don't have a plot point or character that isn't referred back to later.

I liked Evolution of the Daleks and The Idiot Box. So there. I also liked Love and Monsters too. Oh, and Dalek was a great way to reintroduce the Dalek's to New Who fans like me as the only exposure I'd had to the Dalek's before New Who was a bit cameo in a special feature on the Red Dwarf DVD and other glimpses throughout the past. I didn't know who they were until then.

Also seeing the low points allows you to enjoy the high points that much more I feel.

Time autocorrecting itself for the last time after the S6 finale apparently.

Homie shoulda brought some duct tape or silly puddy with him.

Seems like there is a new doctor who game coming for PS3/Vita and PC

A new Doctor Who tie-in, subtitled The Eternity Clock, is apparently heading to PC, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in early 2012.

According to Doctor Who TV, BBC Worldwide published a teaser trailer for the game to its YouTube channel then quickly removed it, but not before it was ripped.

There's no gameplay shown in the brief clip, only a voiceover intoning "Every event that ever was or ever will be... all recorded inside the clock."

The site reports that "Gamers can take on the role of the Doctor and River Song as they explore the universe of Doctor Who over multiple time periods."

The title screen states that it's developed by Supermassive Games - the UK studio behind LittleBigPlanet 2's Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves DLC.

We're chasing the BBC for clarification and will update when we hear more.

Big old-series news: two missing episodes have been found. Part 3 of Galaxy 4 (Hartnell story, 1965) and part 2 of The Underwater Menace (Troughton story, 1967).

Before today, Galaxy 4 was considered entirely wiped; also, the Troughton episode is now the earliest of his episodes in existence. It's also the first new Troughton recovery in over 20 years.

That's pretty cool, especially that the one episode with cut footage is being restored as the station in Australia kept the cut footage.

In other news, this quote generator on the BBC website is amazeballs.

"Now, this console is the key to saving that ship, or I'll eat my hat… If I had a hat. I'll eat someone's hat. Not someone who's using their hat - I don't want to shock a nun, or something."

Hugely exciting news.

I mean, hell, I hate The Underwater Menace and think Galaxy Four is pretty bad, but two less missing episodes is still awesome, and I can't wait to see the episodes in action (maybe they'll even be more bearable).

Christmas came early this year.

It just amazes me that even to this day old episodes still turn up. We can only hope that more Troughton era stuff turns up, I really want to see more of his stuff as I've loved what little I've seen soo far (basically all but 3 of his complete serials including The Invasion with the remade episodes). Would love to see some of his interactions with the Daleks one day.

That cover is horrible.

I wonder when I'll actually own this on Blu-Ray. I assume it will be on the set that releases for Series 7 at some point in 2013.
