Well this is disappointing. My aging card could handle 2012 games like Borderlands 2 and Dishonored at max settings and run at a perfectly smooth 60 fps, but here, even lowering the AA to FXAA3 and reducing the draw distance to medium, I still get noticeable dips at 40-50.

Well... It's a bit complicated at first

You need to buy Ferrystones at Gran Soren to fast travel. And you get a permanent Port Crystal later on that you can place any where in the world, but it's a one time use.

Edit: looks like Ferrystones are cheaper in DA now. I actually haven't played it yet.

err just changed my vocation to magick archer and now I cant use my bow, and my pawn cant use her staff after changing from mage to sorcerer lol?

Different weapons. Magick archers don't use the same bows as striders (normal bows) or rangers (long bows), but magick bows. Sorcerers use archistaffs, not regular staffs.

To be fair, Borderlands 2 and Dishonored both ran much better on consoles than Dragon's Dogma did. So, from that perspective, it's a bit more of a lift.

There's a shop near the rift stone where you get your first pawn. You can buy a one time use consumable there(much later on you can buy an infinite use one) using rift crystals(which you probably won't have enough of for awhile).

If you just want to change your hair, skin color, hair color, or voice, there's a barber in Gran Soren for that.

Wut. BL2 ran like shit on the PS3.

Eh, played it on 360. Even then, the resolution of BL2 on PS3 is higher than the res of DD on PS3.

I'm having a lot of FPS problems on my system. With everything maxed out at 1440p I'm getting frequent FPS drops from 60 down to as low as ~38-40 FPS on my system. Is everybody else experiencing the same problems?

You can change the camera sensitivity in the options menu, maxing it out feels perfect IMO. When you go to the options it'll be on mouse/keyboard options, just press right and it'll switch to xbox controller options.

Oh, yeah that solved it. I didn't notice the camera was separate between these two.

Yeah I looked and also couldn't find it. This really sucks. Like, I guess my computer can't support changing the settings? Cool, but I should be allowed to get back into the settings menu at least and change it back...but I can't even do that.

I don't really want to redownload 14 gigs if I don't have to. If it comes to that at least my save is in the cloud, I guess

PSA: If you want to use the screenshot mode sans watermark, then update and use GeDoSaTo.

Go into Share menu option, line up your shot, then use the "Hudless Screenshot" key in GeDoSaTo.

It takes a screenshot, but it's not hudless.

I'm sure I'm a minority in this case, but I thought fast travel was handled perfectly in the original game, they kinda screwed it in patches imo, making ferrystones cheap and apparently now infinite.

A huge part of this game's appeal was the adventures you had to commit to, something which I felt was severely diminished by making fast travel a trivial thing ever since Dark Arisen came out and botched it. I expected it to be patched from the start though, things like this never last. An expected shame.

It was in the review build that was uploaded by someone and a bunch of people pirated but the actual release version could have been updated to remove them.

Welp just got stuck in ininite loading after killing the Chimera in the prologue. Checked steam discussion seems to be related to some windows codec issue, I'm on Windows 10 retail build 10586.

Yup, on build 11082 and getting this as well. Tried the fix posted in the Steam discussion board but it didn't help.

Have gone through the Chimera tutorial five times now.

First online pawn I ran into was a terrible Sephiroth, felt like playing an early 2000s MMORPG

How can you not make a Sephiroth when you can actually get (a rough approximation of) his hair in the game!? This is like, the elite 0.01% of character creators that allows such long hairstyles.

The sheer variety in the character creator, and how it plays into the gameplay, are remarkable to behold.

You can't expect to have all those destructive spells AND heal at the same time. That's why I mostly stuck with the mage class for my main pawn.

You can always change back, but read the descriptions before you make a choice.

Well, I figured out my problem. The way DD calls .wmv files is through windows media player, which is handled slightly differently in the latest insider build of Windows 10. There's no real workaround so every time it tries to play an event cutscene (there are very few) it will hang and not load.

Capcom are aware of the issue and working on a fix. I guess I'll be playing on my system that isn't on the insider program.

-edit- apparently it's happening to people that claim to be on retail windows 10.

Bruh..................this game come out on consoles 4 years ago. It was a console exclusive at the time and its JUST NOW hitting the PC.
