Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen PC |OT| Wolves hunt in 4K

It'd be completely futile if the enemies are killing you too quickly. Besides raider camps I can't really think of any places in the open world where that would happen though. Are you having trouble anywhere?

If you kept to the left when you can first see Gran Soren, you'd have troubles in the woods. The same is true if you went very far to the right after the hill with a rolling rock trap.

There are things in the open world that will surprise you.

If you have hide DS4 checked, plug in your DS4, and the red message DOES NOT SHOW UP, then you are good to go. You don't need to see or press that connect DS4 exclusively button on the latest build.

Thanks! Yea it's all working now. You guys are the best. I was ready to refund the game, haha

??? Huh ???

Fast travel is in the game. its kind of weird as it uses items to do it, but it does have fast travel. The fast travel is like, grounded into the lore and it's an actual thing.

You aint gonna have it right out the back in the game neither, you'll get it later in the game.

I know there is fast travel, it just functions terribly.

Huh, since i installed an ENB preset my loading times have like... tripled? Takes 30+s to load out from the starter village, and i have the game on a SSD (Sandisk Extreme PRO).

Weird. I guess ill try removing it.

I think I'm gonna take it really slow this time around. I totally forgot that you get one-shotted by practically anything early on in hard mode.

Also, I wish I knew how to really mess around with the ENB settings. I like the one I'm using right now but I'd love to be able to add a bit more color to the game.

How to get rid of the water mark in photomode?

Also I have a ton of items and characters almost above average in being weighed down. Thing is I have a ton of items (half perishable) and craftables that I have no clue what I can use them for or if I need them in my inventory.

Should I just dump everything into storage and nto worry about food/perhishables?

Also...whats this about a blessed flower that you can copy at the black cat thing but not have it expire?

Perishables don't rot in storage. Materials can be used in shops if they're in storage. You can combine in storage. Put them in storage.

If you want something to not rot outside of storage, put it in an airtight flask. I have no idea what this flower you're talking about is.

Man, yall crazy for playing Hard mode with a brand new character. That was meant for newgame+.

I started a mage on hard mode so I can build into a sorc and go magic build for magic knight and archer. It's pretty hilarious that bats do hundreds of damage to mages on hard and I got killed by the ox pulling the hydra cart because I kicked it and it ran over me doing 600 damage. I'm level 20 now though so it's basically me just trying to get the augments I want before moving on to either mk or ma. I wanted to try something different since in my first playthrough I started out as an assassin and was like that most of the game, so something magic oriented sounded fun.

I would like to think that Hard Mode is basically "Souls" mode.

It's not. Hard mode is more annoying than hard. You get more experience and gold so you level up faster and can buy better gear. After some time it's pretty much like normal, except you still uses way to much stamina to do everything, and have so much money that consumables are not a real concern so you have to enter in the menu all the time (well, I guess it's less of a chore now with the hotkeys).

I wouldn't really say it becomes just like normal beyond the stamina differences(though it does become significantly easiesr), as the way gear progression works means having absurd amounts of money does not translate into better gear than you'd have at the same point on normal(though it does make things less grindy on the cash side). Enemies will still do a lot more damage than they would to you on normal, they just won't one shot you anymore and the stamina thing prevents you from just spamming abilities without a care in the world(with the unfortunate side effect of making world traversal more of a chore), though consumables do mitigate that problem. The double exp part does come into play in lowering the difficulty significantly from the beginning, but not enough that it evens out with normal.

All this being said, I'm really looking forward to a mod that tweaks hard difficulty by adding additional bosses and enemies to encounters.

how are you all using the ferrystone? Whenever I try to use it it says like "not available at this time"

also on a sidenote, stopped for the night. Only a few of the people in my friends list have pawns, or only a few are showing up not sure what's going on but I have a filled out friends list.

Unfortunately there's only one person who has a fighter pawn around my level I was going to use, but he/she has put like no skills on their pawn lol so I had to use a pawn from a stranger alongside a mage pawn from a friend.

Nah. It's very tedious, not hard. The stamina penalty makes it pretty annoying. Plus, you get buried in xp and resources with the enhanced drop rates which actually makes the game much quicker.

It would be Souls mode if the bonus xp, gold, rc, etc didn't exist on Hard.

When you get over level 100, thats when that hard mode bonus exp comes in at. Leveling in normal takes for ever around level 100. highest i got was like 143 or something like that.

Just getting into this, generally happy with the looks and performance, but I'm experiencing a bit of UI flickering while using a controller, like the button prompts keep trying to change back to KB/M. Anyone else have this? Briefly unplugging my keyboard and mouse didn't actually fix it.

The game takes inputs from all connected devices simultaneously and changes the UI accordingly, dont know why it flickers though.

LiQuid!

I proudly and openly admit to wishing death upon the mothers of people I don't like
Trying to recruit pawns in this game is god damned depressing. It's just a waifu meat market. Bunch of naked, big titty ladies as far as the eye can see. I even see them designed to look like really little girls wearing almost no clothing. Gamers are gross.

Meanwhile in my game...

I think I've run into a bug? Or no clue what's going on but I googled it and found two pages of folks asking the same thing.

I got the eternal ferrystone. I reached Gran Soren with the escort quest. I've already even completed the pawn quest there and started the next story mission.

I can't use the eternal ferrystone. Everytime I try to use it it says "can't be used at this time"

What the hell is going on. I've already found both of the portstone circles in gran soren and the beginning area. I don't know what else I'd have to do.

edit: nvm now the ferrystone decided it can work lol

Is your pawn named Alice? I think I just hired her. Heh.

Yes it is. Whats her vocation? I just booted up the game and switched her vocation from Sorcerer to Mage. Apperently Mage is the only one with healing magic which is what I want from my pawn. I wonder if you got her before or after I made the change

Changes like that only go through after you rest at an Inn.

I'm past the initial learning curve and the game has opened up....having a blast

Assassin is perfect for me (at least for the time being) Just wrecking wolves with my broadsword

7 hours deep today. I play, realize it's been a few hours and call it a day...then I pick it back up a couple hours later

Hopefully Rook is a permanent member of my party because our power trio is wrecking shit (though he seems like a tutorial character...we'll see I guess)

She's been healing like crazy, so must be mage!

Mine isn't working. Nothing show up when I'm trying to search by friend list but other search seems just fine. This is sucks, I don't want to take randoms pawns :<
how many friends do you have with the game installed?

I have 300+ and I'm only seeing like maybe a dozen or two. Not sure if it means a grand portion simply haven't created their pawns yet or if there's a possible issue with the game if your friend lists are too big

so are you supposed to play this with a FAQ open or something? I got to the main city and the story seems to have stopped cold. I'm not doing these 432525252 generic mmorpg quests. I keep getting these escort quests that send me out into places with enemies that look exactly like the enemies I've been fighting except whoops it's high level and did 80% of my health in one shot.

the basic combat is fun but I feel like all I'm doing is running around spamming skills on things unless they decide to ignore my attacks and punch me while I'm hitting them. In which case I spam a different skill to stagger them first. Hoping this gets better as I unlock more.

In my aimless wandering trying to figure out what the unholy fuck the game wants me to do now, I found a cool little dungeon area that had a cyclops at the end, at least. But that led nowhere and the goober I was 'escorting' died to the first pack of lizardmen.

when you arrived at the city you should have pointed towards the
pawn's guild
do that quest line. It might be hard because in the quest line there's a strong enemy in the way, but there's an easy out of the box way to beat him. If you can't figure it out ask again.

is there a mod to remove the weight mechanic yet? i want to be extra light all the time without, like, moving stuff around constantly

considering the multiplayer mechanic I doubt it.
