Finally some solid combat after dicking around with bandits and goblins and shit. Just need to get some decent pawns who don't die at the drop of a hat.
Also the cyclops dropped two eyes lol.
I mean friends not having pawns it's fine, you can always just get random pawns at your level which is free, but you gotta change them more often.
I have about 100 DDDA buddies and about a quarter or so have active pawns.
If by a little too much you mean constantly, then I agree. But I get a kick out of my prime pawn's deep voice so it all works out.
Seriously, having one oddly voiced pawn breaks up the monotony a great deal.
Using my friends pawns is half the point of the game.
I double checked the nVidia control panel for both global and application specific settings and found no custom AA implemented. Just to be safe I clicked the restore default settings button. I ran the game again and found no difference in performance. Changing resolution doesn't seem to affect FPS, but it does seem to increase GPU load. Going from around ~30-40% at 1440p DSR to 70-80% at 4k DSR.
EDIT: To be sure I also tried The Witcher 3 and found it running exactly as it always has. The low FPS problem seems to be specific to this game. I just don't understand what could be causing the problem.
Is anyone else that's using a Dualshock 4 having difficulties with what buttons it's displaying on the guide? It just shows me the numbers 1-4, rather than Y or Triangle for whatever reason.
Curious if anyone else has run into this yet? It's not a huge deal, but I'd prefer something else
Did you change anything in DS4Windows or in game settings? I used DS4 with DS4Windows too but it didn't display Xbox button for me
I had the same problem. But apparently if you put it in exclusive mode.I'm having the same problem - it shows all the buttons as numbered, ie. 1, 4, 10, etc instead of X, Y, A (seems to recognize it as a Wireless Controller instead of Xbox controller because in the controls menu those are the same button labels)
Yeah, I've been trying to find some bulkier pawns to help out(strider/mage for my own characters), but all the gaf friend pawns that showed up have been female mages, aside from one. And that one was half my level the last time I checked. And unfortunately out of the few I have out so far, 95% of them are female mages and I need a warrior as well.
More skills are revealed as you rank up, so if you don't want the skill just ignore it. Dunno how class changes work, though.
And pro tip, since I completely missed this at first: core skills are always active AND take no slots (unlike augments).
Im part of the problem and have a female sorceress but mine was themed to Witcher 3 and I wanted to be Geralt lol.I have a warrior, Steam ID is Corpekata. I'm probably higher level than most though as I had a press copy.
Core skills are...the skills in the core skills section of the menu. lolWhat dictates a core skill?
Just wait until you're near end game of the base game when you see them walking around and Kill them in like 3 minutes.Your first non-tutorial chimera fight
Half the time I was picking up dead pawns

Part of what makes this game so good is the struggle against strong enemies early on. It gives you a very clear picture later on about how powerful you've become.the real Dragon's Dogma starts now

Anyhow, im really really early into the game, just going to Witchwood at lvl 11ish, is it normal that some bandits are 5 times stronger than others? Some sword&board guy was pretty much 2-3 shotting me and my companions, had to spend half the time ressing them, while like, the archer or dualwielding guys died in a few swings. Just felt a bit out of place or that i was missing something.
Apparently theres no way for me to have normal loading times with any ENB presets, tried multiple, guess i'll settle for vanilla downscaled from 4k, not that i complain but its just... weird.

If I enable the debanding shader in GeDoSaTo then it makes all my other shaders not work. Is this happening to anyone else?

The dragon speaks latin.
I think it's the only case in the game where that happens.
I definitely prefer the Kb/m controls. Capcom did a good job.
Played a little bit and it seems like a great port. High frames, looks awesome, fluid gameplay
Someone said earlier that Hard Mode is intended for New Game+ characters.Died several times starting on hard mode. I might be over level 10 once I reach Gran Soren lol. Hmm, might go back to normal? Anyway, got a foil Death card. Surprised it drop.
is there a mod to remove the weight mechanic yet? i want to be extra light all the time without, like, moving stuff around constantly

Well, that's entirely subjective and depends on your familiarity with the combat/pawn system and whether you follow the critical path or tend to go off to explore, I suppose.Yea but does the game provide any challenge at all if I switch back?
Humans in real life are also weak to fire but I hung around my share of campfires.OK, this is bullshit. This game straight up lies to you! My pawns keep saying that goblins are weak to fire yet they hang out around campfires and even use flaming weapons! WTF!?

I think that's pretty much how everyone beats that guy the first time through. :lol
Yeah, a well balanced party is absolutely crucial in this game. Buffing, offensive spells, and tanking aggro are all important concepts to the combat.Unless I'm doing something wrong, but party feels like it needs at least 2 mages -- 1 for the dps and 1 for buffs and heals.. My swordsman is barely doing any damage without the elemental buffs as well as the Strider pawn I'm using.
That exact same thing happened for me.
