Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen PC |OT| Wolves hunt in 4K

Liking the game so far. Beginning is much more flushed out than Dark Souls. Animation is clearly on par with DS as well. The Pawns are a great addition to make the world a little more intuitive and alive. From my initial impressions of boss fights, I love the added element of attacking specific body parts to bring the beast down. Only thing I'm hating at this point is the over desaturated colors. Textures could also use a make-over.

For you.
What point of grabbing harpies (except it fun)?

You can use it to get up to a few spots or cross some others. You can control the direction they are flying in.
Also, if you use the "Help" command your pawns will position themselves in a way that they can possibly catch you if you drop (negating any fall damage)

Sorry if this has already been posted, but it's about inclination.

1. When using the potions you can purchase from the encampment, the order you want to use them is your hidden third, secondary and then primary in that order. The last potion used ends up being the primary. I don't know how much of an effect the hidden third tier for inclination has, but I prepare for it all the same. So for my Fighter pawn to end up Mitigator/Challenger/Utilitarian, I used Utilitarian (x2), Challenger (x2) and Mitigator (x3 to be sure) in that order.

2. Since the potions cost RC, and RC is not easy to come by early on, you can simply go to the Black Cat and have him make forgeries. They work the same. The game already gives you items to sell for 350k anyway early on.

So how well is the game doing on PC?

I loved this game back on the consoles twice (at release of DD then later of DA)

A sequel targeting modern consoles would be amazing, such an underrated game

It's still top seller, so I'm assuming it's doing fine, but now that they talked about looking at PC sales in order to consider Dragon's Dogma 2, I'm not sure how much Capcom considers to be "doing fine".

no, just diff profiles

Setting up different steam profiles does seem to work well. No save file swapping or anything, I guess because the saves are in the separate steam user folders. I just made a new account, family shared the library, then friended the new account.

According to steamspy.com there are 79,159 owners as of yesterday.

Yo, anyone got a Mage pawn around level 17 with only buffs, debuffs and healing spells? Need a support caster, not another DPS caster.

I have a mage at 14 I think that operates as a primary healer, but he has offensive spells on his secondary skill list tho. Not enough support spells to fill up both atm. =/

Not really feeling magic archer. The bow is too slow for my taste. Almost maxed it out so I'll just stick to it and change to something else.

I'm sure their expectations are reasonable - four million copies in two weeks might be enough for them to maybe start to look at the possibility of beginning to consider a sequel.

Magic archer is super powerful, and has supercool moves (and certain skills any class may want..)

But I feel the same way, the giant circle of anything in here Gets locked on and destroyed effortlessly just ruins it for me.

How should i handle vocation switching? I'm probably about level 24 right now and haven't touched anything outside of Strider. I'd like to hit magick archer to see what the crack is with that vocation. Was thinking of building into Ranger first.

Just switch whenever you feel like it, there's really no negative to leveling as a Mage or a Ranger for a bit if you main a Fighter.

Every vocation has augments that are useful for any vocation and some even unlock shared skills, so it's worth it to at least max each one.

The Dark Souls comparison was probably the greatest impediment to my enjoyment of the game's early hours. I'm not sure why it's such a prominent point of comparison beyond both being action RPGs in which you can get wrecked by overconfidence. I'm getting something totally different from this game.

Are there any known issues with friend pawns showing up in your list?
One of my friends can see and hire my pawn, but I can't see theirs in my list. (In fact, I can only see 19 pawns of friends in the filtered list, despite Steam telling me that over 50 play the game)

There's really nothing like it.

That's why a sequel needs to happen.

i hope we'll get a patch tomorrow the day after. There is an issue with the entire pawn rental system.

I think currently only pawns of friends you have met in the Rift show up in that list. Don't know if it is supposed to be like that, I doubt it. Probably a bug.

Apparently I played for 12 hours straight yesterday. >.>

Got ambushed at night during an escort quest and the npc kept walking in front of the camera nonchalantly like nothing was happening, was pretty hilarious the first few times now I hate that guy and his "short" escort quest.

I know of others having this issue as well so seems to be quite widespread. Someone also said that you must be "online" to your friends on Steam (i.e not set to show offline to your friends) but I don't think that's true, worth a shot though.

Did he rest at a inn yet?

Using those surroundings to my advantage.

I did this, and he ate me lol.

I'm still pretty early in the game.

How do you get separate profiles?

Another querstion: I went into the realm where you can get friends Pawn's, it said I could only have 2? I thought you could have 3 making a party of 4?
