I've never read any RKM either. But Altered Carbon is on my list. As is that fantasy series he did with a gay main character and apparently lewd and awkward af sex scenes.
Market Forces, the Altered Carbon series and the Land Fit for Heroes series are all good reads.
He really, really, REALLY needs to stop writing sex scenes though.

tonight's project was practice with a lot of IK joints and (try to) teach the girlfriend how to use this animation program. I think it well. The subject may or may not be based on a true story. From today. How's everyone doing?

Oh... weird. I think that's just an artifact of the GIF rendering process. It ran out of colors to use on some frames since it used them for something else (probably anti-aliasing).

I just push the pedals around with a single bone and everything else falls into place. Same with keeping the arms on the handlebars and the straps/cord in place.

Yeah, you're really making me want to jump right in! I'd feel weird, though, devoting mental and creative energy (which increasingly feels like a finite resource these days) to something that I don't know would be useful in my current game. Maybe it could be, of course, I'd just need to become really wizard at it.
I came home and lopped off the old scripted encounters I was talking about and re-figured out how to hook it back together. I'm ready to insert the replacement encounter, I just need to edit up the VO retakes. I put the headphones in and I just can't bring myself to turn off the music.
I hate editing audio. I hope your ass is better soon!
