Holy shit dude. Psychonauts is the most ballsiest to the wallsiest game you will ever play. Erik Wolpaw wrote most of the dialogue in the game, then went on to write all of the dialogue for Portal. So it's funny as fuck.

They opted to scrap all of the practical effects for CGI, which didn't go over well with fans of the original and failed to impress newcomers, so the effects studio made their own "The Thing" movie using the practical effects that were scrapped.

I actually really liked the new one.
Feels like the people who made it loved the original.

The events go pretty well together.
Shame they scrapped the practical effects.

Still, years from now, I think people will warm up to it.
Just like the original, people didn't like it when it came out.
