Sorry to be such a debby downer, but that assassin chick in S2 was way hotter than her and a much better match for him.

Electric Nachos Elektra? I mean I like her more than Karen and significantly more than Jennifer Garner's Elektra, but I can see why he wouldn't end up with her.
She's fuckin' nuts

But she does have the more attractive features and the accent puts her over the edge for me. But, again,
crazy

Any news on the accident? Or do you just have to sit tight for a while and wait for the paperwork to be mailed?
Yeah pretty much, there's really minor damage honestly. I'm pretty sure my bumper wasn't even dented. There's just damage to the paint with an imprint of the rectangle from their license plate basically.

Stability results were moderately high which suggests you are relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic.

Orderliness results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly organized, reliable, neat, and hard working at the expense of flexibility, efficiency, spontaneity, and fun.

Extraversion results were medium which suggests you are moderately talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting.

trait snapshot:
clean, likes large parties, outgoing, makes friends easily, optimistic, positive, social, high self control, traditional, assertive, rarely irritated, self revealing, open, finisher, high self concept, controlling, rarely worries, tough, likes to stand out, does not like to be alone, semi neat freak, fearless, dominant, trusting, organized, resolute, strong, practical, craves attention, adventurous, hard working, respects authority, brutally honest, realist, altruistic

I don't think that extraversion part is accurate, but at the same time it is. I like my quiet time but I feel great when I'm out in colorful bustling environments, like concerts or Vegas. And I typically won't say much unless you give me a reason to.

Because for whatever reason I find sociopaths alluring. This is a huge part of why I liked Jesse Eisenberg's Luthor.

Jesse Eisenberg's Luthor was just the Joker/Riddler though.

Orderliness is off and trait snapshot has a few things off. Mainly social, large parties, makes friends easily and does not like to be alone. The others are a bit of a switch depending my days I suppose.

I must have answered some questions wrong because one of the traits it spit out was "does not like to be alone" which is simply not true. I get stir crazy if I'm alone for too long, yes, but I also seek isolation if I've been out and about too much.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Joker, Riddler and Harley Quinn are the best Batman villains, bar none.

Oh, well that's good to hear! A few years ago I got rear-ended by someone while in my mom's SUV. You almost couldn't even tell that my car had been hit, whereas his front bumper had crumpled quite a lot. So I just shrugged it off and figured he had enough of a problem already, and we didn't call the police or anything.

not a fan of the questions so much. More accurate than not though. Well except for the traits which are pretty much opposite

Yes, they are, and Harley's my favorite, but they got their Joker in my Luthor. I don't even like Luthor that much. It's an "in name only" case. He doesn't have anything in common with Luthor outside of of surface level personality traits (bald, doesn't like Superman, rich, smart). I don't mind having a reinterpretation of an established character (Heath Ledger Joker and Jared Leto Joker, for example), but the spirit of the character still has to be there somewhere.

Jesse did a terrific job acting, but that wasn't Lex Luthor. It's like putting on the best damn Macbeth performance ever witnessed in the history of the character at an audition for Spider-Man. It's not the performance that bothers me, it's who he's trying to be. If you were playing charades and someone started acting like that, would you have guessed Lex Luthor?

It's a mis-characterization. Luthor isn't anything like them.

It's not that I don't get that... I don't care.

Suppose you're Zack Snyder or whoever is at the root of this directing and writing impetus. You want to tell a story with Batman and Superman and also a megalomaniac sociopath billionaire. Your choices are make Joker uncharacteristically wealthy and business savvy, make Luthor uncharacteristically psychotic, or invent a new character whole cloth. Of those options, I think corrupt the Luthor character is the easiest and most interesting.

But I've basically never been a comics purist, so I just can't relate to that. For the same reason, I really liked the twist in Iron Man 3.

Didn't they already have a Vegeta vs. Shadow and Rainbow Dash vs. Starscream?

The next one is Flash vs. ???? (probably Quicksilver)

Or keep it as Lex's son, change the name from Lex Jr. to something else and play it off as Lex having died in Man of Steel, giving his son proper motivation to hate Kryptonians.

Or stick with the original plan and put Bryan Cranston on as Lex and Jesse Eisenberg as Jimmy Olsen

I wonder if he made his lex like that because he would be both a batman and superman villain rather than just a superman villain. Makes some sense.

Hmm, I realize I'm in the minority for actually liking the movie, but this sounds like it'd be a lot worse than what we ended up with. :(

That's an interesting point! I bet you're right.

But that's the problem that the movie had. It was trying to be everything all at once.

Civil war is trying to introduce 2 new heroes, bring one more hero to a teamup, have 3 plus different major villains, have politics relating to 5 or so countries, and have the heroes fight each other

Sounds like its trying to be even more
That's an interesting point! I bet you're right.

I couldn't really see him working as a long term superman villain but for this movie and other justice league stuff he fits pretty decently

In a way he reminds me a bit of Moriarty from Sherlock and I think if they went more that direction and didn't have him get more unhinged, it would be pretty good

My older brother and I grew up going to the midnight premier of virtually every superhero movie together. At this point he has zero interest in seeing BvS (partly because he's planning his wedding) and I'll almost certainly be skipping Civil War. The irony of this division coming to a head with two movies about good guys fighting each other is not lost on me.

But most of the main players in Civil War are already established BvS only had Superman established. Batman's origin didn't need to be established since we already know who he is and why he does what he does but they did it anyway, and I don't have any problem with doing it as a credits sequence.
The part where the bats make him fly out of the hole was stupid.
It had to establish 4 new heroes that most people aren't familiar with, and several subplots that most people aren't familiar with, and all of this was done without the aid of a phase one unless you count Man of Steel. Marvel's had years to establish most of these characters. If they tried to do Civil War after the first Iron Man, I'd agree with you 100%.

Also
Snyder did the Death of Superman plot too early and it got a little anticlimactic after Wonder Woman tagged out.

If they don't succeed with Harley in Suicide Squad then I'm probably jumping ship on DC. Same goes for Spidey in Civil War

4 heroes? No not really. They did the equivalent of credit teases. Wonder woman and batman are the only "new" heroes in the movie.

The concept of "phases" really is arbitrary. You don't need prior movies to have characters and plot. Heck they did a good job completely explaining what happened in man of steel to the point where you mostly didn't need to know any prior knowledge of anything dc
the dream sequence being the exception which was very poorly added in and very unnecessary
death of superman was also unnecessary too and really didn't fit at all

I don't think we even saw most main Marvel heroes before they had a movie of their own before winter soldier, and that was because there was nothing to show.
