It feels weird to say considering the show is weirdness personified, but I think season 5 of Fringe was too weird. Whenever I rewatch the show I stop after season 4.
Yeah! I loved it. That twist at the end is probably the most surprising thing the show has done yet and I started laughing. A couple of my friends were pretty upset from it though.

It basically takes one of the most ancient aspects of witch mythology and invigorates it: Most witches are in fact hags and their superficial beauty is merely an illusion to either survive their environment by charming men or simply the wish to feel young and desirable again (see the Witcher universe or common folklore like Baba Yaga). I bet in her case that she has to nourish that gem in her necklace with life force or she struck a deal with a powerful supernatural entity.

I wanna make a game too but I don't know where to start -.- In theory, I can draw a bit, I can compose a bit, I can use basic adventure making software, and I have like a few ideas about a possible theme, but that's it lol.

You can start anywhere, really. The work has to be done one step at a time anyway. Programs like GameMaker are really helpful for beginners (and people who like to keep things simple!).

My uncle lives near San Francisco, and I used to love visiting him. Everyone in Cali is so chill all the time. At least, compared to the New England yankees who consider a light nod in your direction a hearty hello.
Try doing the most basic things first to grasp a few things. Do a basic 2D platformer going from point A to B and then go adding more things to it. After making a start and ending to stage add enemies, hazards and maybe gimmicks.
For a narrative stand point you can try doing a visual novel fleshing out the whole decision making and also it should help with keeping your art consistency with the characters, backgrounds, Cutscenes, etc since its pretty dependent on the visual aspect afterall. As for the story go from the most basic things and go fleshing those out until you feel happy with the results. The more twists and turns you give the story with the decisions it should be definitely rewarding.
From both standpoints you should be able to take things and apply to other things and slowly get into more complex things of the development.

I'm excited. Everything NIntendo does is fantastic(except the VB), Wii U is my favorite system atm. Nothing on PS4 or Bone comes close to the bliss of Splatoon, Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2, etc.
I just really want a new Metroid, Samus is my idol. Like in my dreams, Maguerite Bennet, Majorie Liu, or Kelly Sue DeConnick would write a badass new Metroid story

Alot of baby related things. Went to the in-laws for a picnic lunch. Did some shopping. Bought a clock for some reason.
Yesterday I did some yard work and worked out in my garage. Went for a big walk around town. Watched Age of Ultron all the way through finally because I wanted to get caught up on the story before Cap 3. I still think that movie is pretty boring and hokey.
Wii U was a huge disappointment product wise for me. I like Nintendo's own software offering there but the lack of certain features as well as the underwhelming support by 3rd parties doesn't appeal to me at all. Now the thing about Nintendo is indeed that they produce games/experiences you don't get on other platforms at the same high quality standards we're used to. There are momentarily no/not that many (if at all) kart racers, platformers, brawlers, experimental projects on PS/Xbox/PC even though indie development has eased the situation gradually. Nintendo's special position in this sense also comes from SEGA's own demise, they've been nothing but a devious Wiedergänger of their former self for the last decade and a half but the new leadership seems to change things in a positive way. Sometimes I think the industry would be more exciting if SEGA got acquired by Microsoft back then, they would still have given Nintendo a good competition under Microsoft's wings.
I'm seriously considering switching back to PC with the end of this console cycle. Except for Naughty Dog and Persona there isn't that much that interests me from their exclusives, plus I have a humble Steam library and mod support is god tier for Bethesda games. Either this or Nintendo can prove that the NX is in fact futureproof, in that case I will buy my games (1st and 3rd party alike) on their new platform. Or I will simply buy at a heavy discount several years into the product cycle...

I always loved classic Nintendo properties. Metroid was kind of the exception, but Zero Mission for the GBA was pretty fine. As a matter of fact, I have a great fondness for everything Nintendo on the GBA. I loved that thing almost as much as I hated not having time for it due to work. Advanced Wars was seriously addictive.
