It was an enjoyable romp, although it kind of suffered from trying to cram a lot of shit in a relatively modest space of time. If Avengers was a 10/10, AoU is about a 7/10, IMO.
Also, there were audible gasps at Chris Evans. That Under Armour compression shirt was too much.

I also thought Avengers 2 was okay.
Some stuff felt forced and some ongoing jokes fell flat.
I think the Russo Brothers will do a better job than Whedon. (For the next Avenger films)
They're better at shots, tone and pacing it seems.
You guys watch the bit in the credits?
I honestly think that Whedon was trying to channel the Russo Bros non-stop action style through the entire film, which made the sequel come as a lesser product next to the first film, which was better contained and simpler scripted.

Pros:
Hi tech Hydra was amazing.
Baron Strucker was amazing.
Action was top notch.
Some funny bits.
Great locations.
Quicksilver (ok, Pietro) was better than I thought, even if he was far from his X-Men incarnation.
Ultron had some really good parts.
Wakanda drop.
Chris Evans made my jaw drop to the floor, and I'm straight as an arrow. Jesus.
Hawkeye was more than a stand-in this time around. A fairly nice mix of his Ultimate and Hawkguy personas.
Vision was incredible.
Wanda was better than I expected.

Most of the one liners were HORRIBLE. Corny and poorly timed. There are times when Whedon nails them, and others when he comes out as an amateur. This was one of these times.
They tried to cram way too much shit in just one film. There are times where my mind got fixed into the pretty action and forgot about everything else in the background.
Vibranium is not nearly as resilient as it should. Kinda crap, tbh.
The way Vision came to this world was... eh.
Ultron's plan to destroy the world was stupid as all fuck, not to mention that the film made no reference at how he could build a bunch of grav engines so motherfucking huge THEY COULD LIFT AN ENTIRE CITY without nobody noticing it. Good grief.
Swarms of brain-dead enemies are not very interesting. They are even less so when they are duplicated for second round.

Idk if it's good now or not. I'm like two seasons behind. Last season I watched was S2 and boy did it go down the shitter fast. But James has said the subsequent seasons improve, so I'll probably get back into it at some point. Like 22 episodes per season tho. Damn network TV. :negman
