Sitting While Black disturbs the peace don't you know?

Tell your son to watch Chip & Ironicus then >_>I don't watch ANY LPers tbh, my son does, of the ones he watches PDP is the most watchable. That coupled with the interviews he's done, he seems like a cool dude.
I think it's probably because there's some element of quality control, in that if you make something low effort and shitty you will be told in no uncertain terms "This is shit and low effort. Do better."yeah, most of the better ones tend to come from something awful. I like protonjon for his informational tone in his lets plays (if they ever get finished...)
The doctor honestly seemed very happy to get my shirt off.
How long is this doctor's appointment. You've been there for hours.
Are you at the doctor's house?
Jobbs this isn't an appointment. It's a gridr date.
I don't think of Weezer as emo, but maybe my emodar isn't perfect

Pinkerton is generally considered one of the more important emo albums. then they completely gave up on that and went full pop-rock

I spent all this time looking for a fitting gif and didn't find one.
I actually like Paramore (haven't heard whatever they're doing most recently, but I've heard the first few albums) despite not being a teenage girl. Fun music with some pretty solid guitar riffs and the drummer was really good. Just not emo at all. That's a stretch.
it got poor reviews and the band completely ignored it for years so thats not surprising. its one of those albums that people who end up making music in a couple years all listen toI got into the history of emo after falling hard into Brand New love and dug through all that but never came across Pinkerton in my musical archeology but it makes sense now that I think about it.

Incidentally I also like The Veronicas
No gif needed

There has to be a mathematical algorithm out there to find the average time it takes for an obscure music group to turn into pop once they get notoriety.
their new stuff is pure pop. its okay but Riot! imo is the best pop punk album.
oh and they got rid of half the band and now its just a hayley williams vessel (more so than it already was)
they didn't mature as well as Fall Out Boy
I had a moment with my son the other day. He's super into Fall Out Boy's new Popier stuff and so I was like "hey son, let's listen to Fall Out Boy's albums from when your pops was a teen" and he fucking hated them, I was devastated.
But only for a second because I quickly remembered that his dislike of older FOB stuff is indicative of their business and cultural acumen, and also I didn't really like FOB stuff that much when I was a kid so *shrug*
did you play anything from take this to your grave? that stuff is so different from the rest

I don't know what Emo is.
The saddest type of music I ever listened to would be Radiohead and early Coldplay.
what's up fakerz, how is your day? Mine is such that I wish that I had a time machine

Be Your Own Pet - Adventure This is so fun!
I just had a turkey sandwich o a ciabatta roll and a a green apple. was good.
anyway, the thought of watching someone else play a video game is completely stupid to me.
why would I do that when I can play the game myself?
Yea I eased him into with "Grand Theft Autumn/Where is Your Boy" (the most approachable) but he wasn't having any of it lol
I dunno, you look at artists like Grimes or Tegan and Sara or even the aforementioned Fall Out Boy and you realize that changing sound to fit a narrow chronological range of popular music is what generates one hit wonders if you ask me. The three artists I mentioned above kinda just have been doing their thing for awhile, slowly morphing their styles as they mature and evolve, and suddenly they're making pop music because the people went to them rather than them going to the people.
Especially with Tegan and Sara, they've been making the exact same style of music for like a decade and a buddy of mine told me they sold out because he heard them on popular radio, I was like "did you even listen to their latest shit?" Musical snobs sicken me, is what I'm getting at.
ahem

because you don't want to buy said game
because you want to experience something you like through others eyes
because the same reason you watch sports
because the same reason you watch porn
the list goes on.
There's not a musical snob bone in my body. I listen to weird stuff, obscure stuff, and total absolute unabashed pop. I listen to Taylor Swift. I do it all.
This is a bold opinion bro
Anyway I'll give you an example.. As I mentioned before, I played through Alien Isolation then watched PDP play it.. Reason being I wanted to see how he handled the situations presented by the game, how he reacted (how much screaming -- btw, there wasn't much or really any) and what he thought. It was a way to decompress after playing that game for 20 hours.
I would rather play with balls and/or fuck firsthand
much more fun
the alternative is just lazy imo
fall out boy is weird. they started from a more narrow genre and made their own sound to be more digestible to the masses. as much as i like take this to your grave, theres a ton of bands that did the same thing. cork tree on they added more of their eccentricities and i think Patrick Stump losing weight and coming out of his shell helped add the mroe arena-y sound to the last two albums
i think uma thurman is the best example of their evolution. you can see old fallout boy in there with even more energy and catchy guitar licks
I suck at games and would still like to experience them
I think this is just one of those things where if you're into it, you can tell the difference, if not then you have no idea. Which isn't meant as an insult, I would have no idea how to separate out different subgenres of like electronic music, or jazz or whatever. This just sounds like 90's alternative music to me. But I can see how it could be classified as its own thing.

do you know com truise? you should know com truise
And I get your point insofar as watching something like this as a way to decompress AFTER going through it yourself but to do it in lieu of actually playing the damn thing is dumb.
how about them apples halcyon?

Love watchingstreamersLAMERS. It's just another form of entertainment.
its basically cheesy poetry with a ton of wordplayThe only thing I don't like about modern FOB (from a casual listening point of view) is their lyrics have degenerated quite a bit. Not that they were comparable to lyrical masters like Jesse Lacey but I think they peaked lyrically with From Under the Cork Tree.
I would argue that you are not really experiencing them if you are just watching
FTFY
FTFY
neither is me playing through them and being awful. its the best i can do
