Processing on youtube (just the cg cutscene, I can stream the rest of it if you'd like)

from Square Enix Co., Ltd. about FFXIV: The Final Coil of Bahamut - Turn 3 - Post Kill CG Cutscene - mairutube

that was fast

Yeah Square has been keeping scenes like that off websites like youtube so people don't stumble on it.

So is this T12 thing for the super elite players or can it be done by less... intensive players?

If it's the former it seems kind of lame to lock story content behind something that only a small percentage of the playerbase will get to experience.

Well, you gotta get past T5... When you, somehow, get to T9, its very tough and you should run it with an experienced group. You may get lucky or you may not. Its a lot of memorization though so it'll be tough.
Overall, you're gonna get people that will tell you to 'git gud'. Its really a side story kind of thing but rewarding for those that wanna know how things go. Usually the same route is to be ilvl 105+ and look at how fights go. T9 will probably be the hardest. My group is currently working on T10 and it doesn't seem all that tough.

Just know that over time, Square does make coil content easier.

Im holding off on not wanting to see that cutscene since I know Ill be able to experience it with my group at some point.

Changing topic....
- Man i ran with a T6 farming group. We beat it 3 time but lost 6 times cause people somehow forgot how the mechanics worked. Made no sense and left that group.
- I was holding off on trying rogue but a friend of mine convinced me and decided to do it together. I actually think rogue is pretty fun. Cant wait to get further into the class.
- Today was a shitty day since the weather was too horrid (incredibly windy, rain, snow, and warnings going off) and since my halloween was shot, I decided to just dress my character, Mary, as Lightning, complete with the hair. It was a bit fun nonetheless.

When I rolled 87 on the ultros minon I was sure I'm going to get it. Then someone else rolled 93 :|

I lost with a 95. I figure if you don't roll 90+ just expect the worst and maybe sometime you'll be pleasantly surprised instead.

Yeah, I'm probably never going to reach it and I was too late to watch the video. :/

I guess someone will upload it again at some point.

On a whim I went and got this on PS4, I played for a little bit.. it's kinda confusing at first I'm guessing?
Anyone have any general recommendations or somewhere to point me?

Do I just want to go around and do all the little fetch quests or focus on the main story missions?

I started 2 days ago and been doing every quest I come across. You get free exp and also equipment suitable for your level in the rewards, so I would do the same.

Rule of thumb is that Story Quests and Class/Job Quests are top priority. Story Quests are represented by a flame symbol, and Class Quests are from the guildmaster. You'll get the former every 1-2 levels as you level, and you'll get the later on every fifth level. Many essential game features and abilities are unlocked from the completion of these. So make sure you go out of your way to complete these.

Beyond that, do quests as you please. Many of them offer upgrades for your equipment, but you need not do all of them unless you feel the need to be a completionist. Also consider exploring, your hunting log, chasing FATEs, levemetes once you unlock them, leveling alternative classes/jobs. Once you complete your level 10 class quest, you'll be able to switch classes freely and try out the crafting/gather ones too.

After completion of the initial City-State story arc, you'll unlock airship travel, and (a bit later) your first foray into a dungeon playing with a party of four players.

I suggest doing other quests only if xp from main story/job quests isn't enough for the next one or fate farming will be your only option for new classes you decide to level.

I think I'm done my house except for the pond to go in the corner, and something to replace the desk in the corner of the first floor.

Explored so many houses looking for inspiration. I found most of you guys seem to own houses in The Goblet Ward 8 and The Lavender Beds Ward 8. Also most large houses are super chaotic, barely any are designed well. Most smalls are either empty or crammed full of too much stuff. Mediums seem balanced.

I went with Sub-District Ward 1 of The Goblet. Had to pay full price of 4.7m but I got the best one, the one right next to the waterfall, and that would have been gone before it hit full 50% off and would have had to settle for another Ward.

Shiva Extreme is really easy, I'm surprised.

It's really easy when the mechanics are known, people have assigned places to stand during the AOE clusterfuck, and weapon swaps are being called out. The arena is maybe a little too big--as long as she's tanked in the right spot you can biff the sliding mechanics and not suffer--and it is weird that she has no final phase, but I do think it's a fight that can be a lot harder without voice communication since suddenly everyone is responsible for figuring out the final phase weapons as they go.

It's sort of the same thing as Ramuh, but Shiva is thankfully free of phase pushes that can screw you over. I enjoy it, but then I'm the only person on Earth who still enjoys Levi EX.

Fight does seem perfect for a Savage Mode, though.

Wootz Nuggets are in half the demand Leather and Silk are.
Great economy there Square Enix. Can't even trade this 1:1.

Was going to go Mist but the houses I wanted were gone within like an hour of server going up. Goblet 8 ended up being where a lot of the first GAF houses were. I did the floors/walls and was going to wait until after inital furniture boom to get stuff, but ended up forgetting and not really caring. Maybe some day. Mainly wanted house for garden anyway....
if only I had known what a pain in the ass gardening is

By the way that's not the best Goblet house, clearly the one right in front of the waterfall is better.

You act like SE manually sets the prices on this stuff.

Wootz is used in 9 recipes, Silk in 13 and Leather in 18.
Yes they do.
It's almost like there are more classes that use leather and cloth than heavy armor. Unless you want them to create a bunch of classes in heavy armor just to try and balance the market (most of them would need to be dps too), your complaint is ridiculous. Do you get upset over the differences in prices between Parry materia and Det materia? It's supply and demand.

9 and 13 aren't even that big of a gap, definitely not to equal half the demand. Even if they had the exact same number of recipes, the item that the DPS classes need more of will always be more expensive.

To be honest the exorbitant prices on materia and a tremendous difference in usefulness (essentially creating materia that's as hard to obtain but is essentially trash) is also entirely on them? Like I mean, stats like elemental resistance and parry didn't just so happen to be unimportant, you know.

The entire materia system is silly and needs an overhaul, but that's not really the point of what I was saying. It was just an example of market variance of DPS/tank intended items, you can apply it to pretty much every market. There will always be some imbalance of prices, even on things obtained similarly, simply due to demand differences. Outside of some harsh and heavy handed regulating (like forcing specific market caps), the market cannot be "equal", and expecting it to be is expecting too much.

Leveling to 50 in this game is very anti social.

I cannot play with my friends and I have to level alone until I can unlock new dungeons.

I want to be 50 already. Do not like to play the game alone while my friends keep doing end game staff.

They have all their classes to 50 and don't want to help you with low level duties?

Yeah, no kidding. Get your friends to help you level, run dungeons, grind FATEs. If they're level 50 it's not like they have a lot to do besides run the same stuff over and over anyway.

I basically lvl grind with one other person all the time.
So I don't agree.

depends, would you be able to spend a good chunk of your money?

for CPU, the Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor is still one of the best for gaming especially if you wanna go somewhat of a cheap route.

If you want the expensive route, the Intel Core i7-5930K which is around....600 dollars...

for GPU, the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card should hit around even higher than the high setting (probably can hit max imo). But if you can't shell out $350.00, you can always go for a 660Ti

Yes I've been doing my freakin research on this for November

Started the game one week ago on the PS4. It's my first time playing a MMO and it has been a very fun ride till now. Decided to roll a Highlander Lancer and aquired the Dragoon Job yesterday. I've also tried some gathering and crafting classes but I probably won't focus on them until I reached 50.
I was also recruited by a very nice FC which is very newbie friendly. The leaders took the time to answer all my questions and ran the low level dungeons with me.
So all in all my first impression of FFXIV has been very positive! :)

I'm beginning to see more and more ninjas in CT2. In my last run, there were 3 of them in the alliance. There is probably no correlation, but it also was the smoothest CT2 run I've ever done.

Question if you're cross-classing an enhanced skill, if you have the right level, like 44 for Blood For Blood, do you get it on your bard at 25% or just 10%

I don't think I've done a single run without at least another nin(and me being one, so 2+). One run we had 8 ninjas 5bards. No mechanics really punish ninjas much in ST(or melee in general) and the more ninjas you have, the more uptime you have on the 10%dmg debuff, assuming people don't overwrite each other too much.

I'm beginning to think that multiple ninjas don't play well together. You'd basically have to re-arrange your mudra rotation and put suiton third, or maybe even first if you have multiple ninjas. This way your Trick Attack cd is staggered with the regular rotation. The one big upside is you can get a Dancing Edge bitch.

A lot of people don't do the rotation at the same speed, especially on the opener when people didn't necessarily buff Huton at the same time(so Ninjutsu isn't up right away, or they buff it on pull so it isn't up again for 20secs and so on). Other than that it's no big deal even if they overlap. Class still does very solid single target DPS regardless, so stuff dies anyway, and since no other class does this dmg debuff it doesn't really matter if it's a ninja or another class benefitting from it when they overlap.

If you mean in serious content and stuff, you'd probably want 2 different classes anyway for loot distribution and for the various utility(piercing debuff for bard or good mantra for aoe phases). And you most likely don't want 3melees in general.

Did at least 8 dungeons with 2 ninjas and we absolutely wrecked everything. The dragon in stone vigil barely made it to the sky a second time. AOE is amazing too with double Doton, Goad on both Ninjas and then spam enhanced Death Blossom with buffs. Shit dies fast.
